I felt a hand on my shoulder, as I turned around, I realized it was Hopper. "Don't beat yourself up about it kid, we'll find another way." he explained to my, seeing my disappointment and trying to comfort me. I nodded as Owens started to talk again.

"With a computer, they can be unlocked, but somebody's gotta reset the breakers." Owens continued. "Where are the breakers?" Hopper asked. "Breakers are in the basement, three floors down" Owens replied. Hopper grabbed another blueprint as he started walking to the door, but Bob stopped him mid-way. "Hey,where are you going?" he asked Hopper. "To reset the breakers' he replied in an almost annoyed voice.

"Okay, then what?" he asked, "Then we get the hell out of here" Hopper replied, as if it wasn't already obvious. "No, then the power comes back on. If you wanna unlock the doors, you have to completely reboot the computer system, and then override the security codes with a manual input." he explained to Hopper. "Fine, how do I do that?" Hopper asked, growing inpatient.

"You can't. Not unless you know BASIC." Bob explained. "I don't know what that means" Hopper said in a mix of confusion and annoyance. "It's a computer programming language" Mike explained further. "Alright teach it to me" Hopper demanded.

"Shall I teach you French while I'm at it, Jim? How about a little German?" he asked rhetorically. he then turned to Dr. Owens, "How about you doc? You speak BASIC?" he asked Owens. "No" Owens replied, disappointed. "Okay, I got this. I got this" he recited, turning to Hopper. "No. Bob" Joyce said, walking up to him. "It's okay" he told her, giving her a hug. It's gonna be okay. Remember, Bob Newby, superhero." he said, giving a comforting smiling at the end.

"Hopper and Bob both walked out to do god knows what, while we stayed put. I didn't like the idea of them going alone since there where so many of them, but still complied none the less. Hopper came back into the room shortly after and stayed with us, waiting for Bob to turn the power back on.

Just then, the lights started flickering; 'he did it' I thought 'he actually did it'

We walked over to the monitors, seeing Bob in the breaker room. "He made it" Mike said, relieved. "It's open" Dr. Owens said, "son of a bitch did it" Hopper said, smirking.

"Nice job" Owens said through the mic to Bob, but just then we heard distant roaring. "Hold on a second chief" Owens said stopping Hopper in his tracks. "What's wrong" he asked, walking back over to the monitors.

"West stairwell's not clear anymore" he stated, pointing to the monitor that showed one of the creatures crawling down the stairs. "What's going on?" Bob asked over the radio. "We've got some company." Owens warned, "Where?" Bob asked. "The West stairwell" Owens directed.

"I got an idea" Bob said, "The hell's he doing?" Owens asked, growing confused. Then, the sprinklers turned on, directing the creatures attention back up the stairwell.

"Okay. Okay, that worked! Now get out of there,Go! Go!" Owens exclaimed, clearly surprised. "Wait a second chief, take this" Owens said, handing the radio to Hopper. "What are you doing?" Hopper asked, "Anymore surprises, I'll let you know" he said to Hopper. "You're staying?!" I exclaimed, now worried for the safety of Dr. Owens.

He then turned his attention to me, "I need you to go with them, okay? I'll see you when this is all over, I promise" he said, giving me a final pat on the shoulder, along with his signature smile before ushering us to go.

I nodded, still worried, but still complied with his demands. I followed behind Joyce, so I could protect from the back as Hopper had a gun leading the front. We then ran out of the door when Joyce stopped, so I stopped as well assuming she was waiting for Bob.
