Into The Void

(Amelia POV)

I opened my eyes to complete darkness. I was confused, I was brought into the void? I looked around, not expecting to see anything, when I saw

Will?

"Will?" I called out, confused; 'why was he in the void?' I walked closer, only to see he was standing as still as a statue, eyes closed. I shook him and his eyes bolted open, looking terrified. "Will! What's happening? Are you okay?" He didn't answer, only look behind me, I turned around and saw it.

The thing that was in his drawings, The Shadow Monster.

I looked at it terrified as I heard Will say something in a whisper. "I'm scared...please help me" he begged me, his tears threatening to spill.

"I don't know how" I said, confused and scared. The Shadow only grew closer as I tried getting answers from Will. I put both hands on his face making him look at me, "How do I help you?" Will averted his line of sight behind me again. "It's to late...he knows!" he kept repeating the last line; he knows, he knows, he knows. I realized the Shadow Monster was dangerously close, I tried grabbing Wills hand, but he wouldn't move, so I did the only thing I could; I ran without him.

I tried to outrun the Monster, but it was catching up to me. So I focused energy on both my hands, and raised them at the shadow, I felt my nose start bleeding, it made my head hurt, but I continued. It hurt so bad and was getting hard to see, so I screamed. I screamed just as loud as I did when I first used them, effectively knocking the shadow monster back, uncovering Will.

I let out a sigh of relief just as my vision went black again.

I woke up to the sight of the girl from the lab, wiping the blood from my nose, and the sound of everyone talking in the other room. I slowly opened my eyes and started sitting up. I was relieved when I felt my headache was gone.

"She's awake!" the girl yelled to everyone in the other room. I noticed Will wasn't on the couch anymore. I noticed everyone's gaze on me and I grew uncomfortable. Hopper must have noticed this because he told everyone to give me some space as he and Joyce walked up to me.

"You doing alright kid?" he asked me, I only nodded, still a bit shaken up by what I had seen with Will.

"Where.. is Will?" I asked, sounding concerned.

"He's in the shed"Joyce answered, looking confused "Why?" she asked.

I motioned to the couch, noting that he wasn't there anymore. She nodded as her, Hopper, Mike, and another boy went out to the shed, leaving me to my thoughts.

I looked around noticing everyone spread out through the house, seeming to be on high alert. The curly haired boy took off his hat, heading into the kitchen, while a boy was swinging a bat, and the red haired girl and the other boy where sitting in the hallway, quietly conversing.

I sat there in silence, reflecting back on what had just happened, when all of a sudden, the lights started to flicker. I got an uneasy feeling as I stood up, looking out the window at the shed, as two boys and the girl from the lab did the same.

A short while after the lights stopped freaking out, Hopper, Joyce, Mike, and the other boy walked in, Hopper sitting down and writing morse code onto a piece of paper.

"What happened?" the curly haired boy asked. "I think he's talking,  just not with words." Hopper said as he finished writing. "Wait what is that?" another boy asked. ""Morse code" a choir of voices spoke out, including my own. "H. E. R. E." Hopper translated out loud as he wrote down. "here" another choir of voices broke out. "Will's still in there. He's talking to us" Hopper stated, looking around the room until my eyes met his. He noticed I didn't look fazed at what he had said, but brushed it off.

Joyce, Hopper, Mike, and the other boy, now known as Jonathan went into the shed. While Nancy, Max, Lucas, Steve, and Dustin stayed inside, translating the code that came in via Hoppers radio.

The transmissions stopped as the group translating rushed to see what it said. My heart started racing as I read the message; CLOSE GATE. As they started trying to contemplate what it meant, the phone rang. We panicked as Will could hear it. So i used my powers and crushed it, leaving it to fall on the ground.

They didn't know what had happened so Max spoke up, not wanting to think further on it. "Do you think he heard that?" she asked everyone. "It's just a phone. It could be anywhere, right?" Steve asked, just as we started to think, the distant sound of those creatures could be heard outside.

"That's not good" Dustin spoke as we all stood facing the front door. Everyone from the shed rushed in, as Hopper came in not to long after them, wielding two guns. "Get away from the windows" he instructed Dustin, Lucas, Mike, and Max as me, Nancy, Jonathan, and Steve stood not to far behind them.

"Do you know how to use this?" he asked, holding a rifle out for Jonathan to grab. "What?" he asked, sounding unsure. "Can you use this?" Hopper repeated, sounding rushed. "I can" Nancy spoke up, Hopper tossed the rifle to her as she cocked it, aiming for the door.

I created energy spheres in my hands, holding them lowly by my sides as I walked in between Hopper and Steve, receiving shocked stares from everyone except Hopper and Joyce.

"Where are they. Where are they?" Max asked, sounding scared and panicked. We turned out attention to a different window, hearing noises and seeing movement coming from a bush. "What are they doing?" Nancy asked, sounding out of breath and slightly frightened.

We turned our attention to the window we where previously watching as we heard more noises, but it then grew quiet. One of the creatures then came crashing through the window as everyone let out a noise of fear or shock. I held my hand up, ready to blast it when I realized it wasn't moving.

Hopper walked closer to it with his gun still aimed at it. "Holy shit.." Dustin said, shocked. "Is it dead?" Max asked. Hopper then moved it's head with his foot, confirming it was dead. We then heard a creak just outside the front door. Everyone turned to it as I held my hands up, ready to blast whatever came through.

The door started unlocking as one of the locks you can only unlock from inside seemingly moved on it's own. Everyone that had weapons aimed at the front door as it opened. Then, in walked a girl. Everyone lowered their weapons, so I followed, looking at her appearance. The girl was wearing a pair slightly dirty white shoes, rolled up jeans, and a black shirt with the sleeves pulled up.

One thing noticeable about the girl was not just the blood dripping from her nose, but her facial features. This was the girl I saw the day I was in the void...
