you're my one and only ; yeongyu

it was pop quiz season for some reason, and every alternate day or so, there would be at least one surprise pop quiz from each subject that they took. finals were approaching in 1 month, and there will be 2 weeks of school related activities before they were dismissed for their holiday.

beomgyu was stressed, going to the library often and staying there with his two americanos. his head was always buried in a book, his writing hand scribbling down important notes that needed to be taken.

yeonjun had been accompanying him too when he was free, which was from 5pm to 8pm just when the library closes, and they go home together. he'll try his best to study, but he'll end up going on his phone and drinking beomgyu's drink while he waits for beomgyu to finish before leaving.

"you should study you know." beomgyu nagged at yeonjun when he sees his boyfriend scrolling on his phone for the millionth time since they arrived at the library.

"nah it's fine. there will be some people coming over to evaluate our dancing in a week, and if they think we're good they can offer us a place in their academy."

"but shouldn't you still study a little in case you can't make it?"

yeonjun placed his phone down and rests his head on his hands, looking at beomgyu with a cute pout on his face.

"your boyfriend tops his batch, there's no way that they'll pass me down."

"you're such a tease."

they both laughed at that, and they were immediately shushed by the librarian who was glaring at them from her counter.

"how's your art project going?" yeonjun asked in an attempt to get beomgyu talking so he won't continue studying his guts out.

"it's going fine actually!" beomgyu replied, a little bit too enthusiastically that it made yeonjun squint at him.

"the teachers told us that we can help you out with your projects after our finals, we have nothing planned out."

"really? but i wanted mine to be a surprise." beomgyu whined, tugging on yeonjun's arm which made the older's heart flutter a little.

"then i'll help tyun then. my friend can help you make your's."

my friend.

beomgyu's mind slowly drifted off to wooyoung. could it be him?

"is it wooyoung?"

yeonjun's eyes widened a little at the name, before his lips formed a small but fond smile.

"yeah, him. have you met him before?"

beomgyu nodded a little, and yeonjun's eyes gleamed in delight.

"really? i've always wanted to introduce you two to each other."

yeonjun looked so happy, it probably was the happiest he has looked in days.

"he's kind of attractive." beomgyu added on.

"he is!! when i first saw him in dance class this year, i had a tiny crush on him." yeonjun agreed, and beomgyu froze at that statement.

what.

yeonjun seemed to have sensed that beomgyu was growing slightly uncomfortable, so he placed his hand on beomgyu's thigh, rubbing it.

"don't worry, i no longer have one. my eyes are only for you, and you only."

and beomgyu doesn't know how to react, and continues studying with a heavier heart.

they decided to stay over at beomgyu's house instead, and they decided to turn on a movie.

"can we watch coco?"

the last time they watched an animated movie that yeonjun recommended, yeonjun ended up sobbing, and neither of them really wanted to wake up with puffy faces the next day.

"out of every single movie you chose an animated movie about music that will definitely make us cry?" beomgyu joked, and yeonjun snickered at that, pressing "play".

"whatever."

beomgyu snuggled close to yeonjun as the starting scene rolled out on the screen, and the older instinctively wrapped his hands around beomgyu's frame.

damn that felt good.

and they were right, this time both of them ended up crying.

the first heart jerker was when miguel's family didn't support him when he wished to pursue music. when miguel's guitar gets smashed into pieces, yeonjun let out a soft gasp and beomgyu had to chew on his lips to prevent himself from bursting into tears.

the marigold bridge part had yeonjun on chokehold, and ended up crying like a baby in beomgyu's embrace, and beomgyu would have laughed if he wasn't emotional himself.

the final straw was at the ending, they had to pause it because they couldn't even watch the ending without tears blurring their vision.

"why is it so SAD?" yeonjun whined, wiping at his eyes aggressively in between his sobs.

"it's YOUR idea." beomgyu whined back, not even bothering to wipe his tears away.

both of them looked like a mess, and it was probably a good thing that there was no school the next day because there was no way that their faces won't be puffy the next day.

they just cuddled on the bed, sniffling as miguel's singing fills up the small room that both of them shared.

it punched them in the gut for some reason, maybe because of how they were both the emotional type, but if they were being for real how could they NOT?

they eventually gave up and shut the movie off, deciding to calm down and go to bed.

"i'm never watching that ever again." beomgyu mumbled after a while, still cuddling next to yeonjun.

"it was nice though."

"i guess, i'm just scared."

"of what?"

it was late, probably 3am or so, the soft breeze caressed their cheeks gently, and it was quiet for a while, beomgyu thinking of an answer.

"scared of losing you." he replied after a while.

yeonjun laughed at that, "what if one day i leave you?"

beomgyu actually shuddered at that, and yeonjun giggled.

"i'm joking. i'll never leave you."

and beomgyu fell asleep shortly after in yeonjun's comforting embrace, and he felt at home.

because yeonjun was his safe space, and he'll never leave him.

or maybe he will, and we'll never know.

i've never watched coco before, but i just watched small clips of it like last week, then i imagined yeongyu cuddling while sobbing their eyes out

anyways.

sorry for the lack of updates:( in case you didn't read my update post, i've been staying back in school from 7am to 7pm for the past week??😀😀 and i'm slowly going crazy JAISJQJJDA

i'm also planning to actually see a profession psychologist instead of my school psychologist since she keeps on forgetting whatever i tell her 💀💀 and also because my panic attacks and getting a bit worse lately 😭
