The day went on as slow as possible in Irises opinion, even slower that usual. Already grumpy sitting up half way slouched in bed with her back against the wall with the biggest frown ever that made the medical professionals very confused, Iris grumpily accepted the food handed to her with a 'thank you' before digging into it, it was hospital food, nothing special- But for some reason this hospital food in particular make Iris want to vomit. It was tasteless, flaky but wet- It was basically just Tofu but without the deliciousness to it, and just the grainy wet texture with a questionable flavor.
After a horrific fifteen minutes of trying to stomach the food Iris was finally allowed out of bed by the nurse that had been supervising her for the past day or so. Her name was Xytila, and she had been working in the hospital in the nurse position for at least 10 years. She was an slightly elderly lady, but with flowers growing out of certain parts of her skin- especially her hair, back and shoulders. Xytila had told Iris that her species was called Sylphe and that she was once from a planet called Sylvia IV. Iris had listened intently as she spoke about her home planet. And enthusiastically asked questions when she thought they weren't uncomfortable for her.
After some prodding Iris also finally spilled the beans about where she was from, a planet called earth, and where the farthest form of space travel they had done was to their own moon. And that she didn't know how or why she got in the Jedi temple grounds.
Xytila nodded while listening to Iris explain her situation, "Does your family have history with any mental illnesses?" Tilting her head at Iris, trying to look for the truth in her face, Iris shook her head, neatly folding her hands over her lap as she relaxed in the presence of someone who didn't seem to treat people with mental illnesses as monsters, "My family was pretty negative about that kinda stuff and didn't really share that kind of information even with me. I myself am diagnosed with autism and have some serious sleep and stress problems... Also memory issues due to prolonged trauma exposure."
Xytila Nodded while Iris tried to explain herself and looked up with an arched brow at Iris when she mentioned her memory issues, "And you are certain that you don't experience delusions or anything of that sort?"Iris shook her head at that, "no, I only experience visual hallucinations after a few weeks of not sleeping properly." Xytila nodded at what Iris told her and noted it down on the tablet? Ipad?? Futuristic notepad looking thing.
It had been a while since Xytila left Iris for herself, saying she was gonna discuss what she was gonna do with Iris with the other nurses and doctors. Iris wished her a good day when she left which confused Xytila, but Iris didn't notice that.
Iris got bored of sitting in her room and walked over towards the door but not before glancing at the person on the other side of the curtain she had seen last night, she saw a twilek, a deep green color, he had lots of supporting medica gear but no outward looking injuries. Which puzzled Iris, thinking it to be strange before opening the door and looking for anyone to talk to or ask for permission to do something.
Looking towards the right she saw none, but on the left she saw someone, a clone trooper with red markings on his armor showing he was part of the coruscant guards. He hadn't noticed her yet so Iris looked at the door she just left, slightly memorizing the symbols on the door before lightly speed walking towards him.
Just a few meters before she reached hime she waved a little in his vision to make sure he saw her, she didn't want to spook him or get in trouble yet.
"What are you doing in the hallways?" The guard spoke in an uninterested tone, clearly not wanting to talk, but Iris completely missed the cue, "I was getting tired of just sitting here, I don't know if there are any rules about being allowed to leave your rooms or not so I wanted to ask you about that." Iris explained in one breath.
Somehow the trooper got all of that in one go and answered her question, "patients of the orange ward aren't allowed to leave their rooms without permission."
Iris blinked, "Can you give me permission to leave my room?" Tilting her head at the trooper, curious eyes scanning his helmet for any body language that indicated something of a personality. The trooper sighed loudly shaking his head, "No, I cannot. Now go back to your room." Iris nodded, totally missing how annoyed the trooper was, "ah, ok! Thanks for answering my question!" Iris smiled ever so slightly to make sure the trooper knew she was happy with his help before turning on her heel and walking back towards her room.
When she got there however the door no longer opened, Iris pulled the handle and twisted it- but it wouldn't budge. No matter how hard she pulled or twisted the door didn't move. The noise had attracted the guard from before, he walked over towards her "Why aren't you opening the door?"
Iris looked back up from the door at the guard, "I- uh- It won't open." The guard rolled his eyes at her explanation and motioned Iris to step aside. Doing as she was told Iris took a step to the side and let the clone trooper work his magic on the door.
Except he also couldn't open the door, "What the?-" The trooper mumbled under his breath as he now used 2 hands to try and pry open the door, but to no avail.
Iris watched on as the clone trooper tried to shove himself at the door, the hard material of the door not budging at the troopers attempts. "Should we go get someone? There was still someone in there-" Iris recalled as she saw the twilek lay there, motionless.
The trooper scooted over towards the right where there was a glowing pad with strange markings on it and tapped furiously on it. "Ah kriff-" Cursed the trooper at the situation. Iris fumbled with her sleeves, not knowing how to respond or act in this situation.
Turns out the Twilek had locked themselves in the room they had shared- nothing else had been shared with her, for privacy's sake.
Iris had been moved to a different medical location, outside of the Jedi temple, or so she had been told.
