Susie's POV.With (Y/n) still on my back, I made it out of to a corridor. 'Alright... out of the cell... Where to next...?' Glancing both ways, I decided to go left first, only to find out that this way wasn't going anywhere. '... well, that's a dead end...' I growled in annoyance. Then I heard an all to familiar voice coming from the other way. "That's Lancer's voice!" I shouted/whispered.
Adjusting (Y/n) on my back, I started running into that direction but was stopped by another stupid puzzle. 'Damn, not another one of these... These dumb puzzles really get in my nerves...' I nudged the girl on my back a little. "Hey, girly! Little help here?" Of course, I got no response except a few groans and whines. I sighed. 'Ok, relax Susie, you can do this. You did it before back in the cell. How hard can this be?! You gotta get to Lancer! And get girly fixed up by Ralsei!'
Beeing carefully on not dropping (Y/n), I reached out to the buttons of the puzzle. Very carefully, I punched in the password I saw at the top and the wall opened. I grinned. "Yes!! Haha! Who is the greatest puzzle master of all time?! Ha! You saw that girly?" I asked behind me, readjusting my hands under her leg. I felt her shift a little, mumbling a quiet "good job..." under her breath. My prideful chuckle was cut short when I noticed Lancer up ahead talking to a guard.
"Understand? They have to stay in their cells. The Lightners can't be allowed to escape.... Especially the purple ones." Lancer's voice got quieter towards the end but I still heard it. I felt a sharp pain of in my chest. The guard saluted and walked away "Lancer?" I called out to him, not wanting to understand what's happening. He jumped in his spot, swiftly turning around. "S... Susie? W-What are you doing here...?" he stammered. Then his gaze shifted towards (Y/n) who was now slowly coming to, tiredly blinking at the scene in front of her. "(Y/-- (Y/n)!? What... What happened!?" I norrowed my gaze at him. "She got beat up by those stupid guards, that's what happend! Kris and Ralsei are still locked up..." Lancer averted his gaze in what I thought was in shame. "I... I know..." He admitted and my grip on (Y/n) legs tightened in rising anger and disbelief. "I... I was the one who told my troops to put you down here... to... to keep you down here...forever... B-But I never wanted them to hurt (Y/n)! Believe me!"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "L... Lancer... you... you... You wanted to get rid of us...?... I thought we were a team..." I said with absolute betrayal, lowering my gaze towards the ground. Lancer started playing with his gloves. "I... I can explain, Susie..." I didn't want to hear his excuses, I turned away from him, forcing my incoming tears to go away. "... Nah... It's fine. It's fine, actually. You don't have to say anything. I... get it." I said with the monotone voice I usually had before I met Lancer, my expression becoming cold. Lancer looked up at me with a confused expression. I continued. "I get it, y'know." I took a step forward, away from Lancer. "Why would anyone... really wanna be my friend anyway?" I chuckled and Lancer jumped again on what I said. "Susie, that's not--" I tried to give excuses again but I would not let him. "Shut up." "But--" "SHUT UP!" I yelled at him, fletching my teath to intimate him. I made my way back towards them with large steps. "Get out of my way." I coldy ordered. Lancer stayed quiet for a moment. "...." I stomped my foot in front of him, now towering over his trembling form. He flinched. "Did you HEAR ME?! GET OUT OF MY WAY." Lancer looked down at the ground, mumbling a "N-...No."
I couldn't help but laugh, he doesn't understand what kind of situation he's in. "Did you not HEAR ME...? Man, I tried to warn you..." I walked away from him again, going over to a wall and gently setting (Y/n) down, leaning her against it. She blinked up at me with drowsy eyes. "S-Susie.... don--" She tried to stop me by holding on to my arm but she was so weak that her hand fell back down when I stood up. Then I turned my attention back to Lancer.
