Chaotic Bliss: Ninjago After Crystalized

Lloyd's POV

"Hey Lloyd," Kai said as he found me walking in the hallway. Then he winked at me weirdly. "How's life treatin' ya?"

I paused for a second. "I never thought I'd say this in my life, but perfect," I replied. Kai looked astonished.

"So looks like we've got eight ninja now," I said, changing the topic.

"WHAT? How?" Kai asked.

"Did you forget about your own crush?" I reminded him.

He instantly broke out into a big red blush. "OH!! NO NO NO I DIDN'T!!"

"Good. Because I haven't forgotten about mine."

Kai smirked. "Hmm," he said, trying to embarrass me. Then he winked again. What the--

"Lloyd!" Harumi called from behind me. "Oh, hey," she said to Kai.

I looked at Harumi, unable to stop the blush and smile forming on my face.

Kai sniffed the air. "I smell some romance in here,"

"Eh...See ya later, dude," I said, and ran off with Harumi. She wanted a tour of the monastery.

I saw Kai wink out of the corner of my eye. What the heck? What the heck indeed!

Jay's POV

"Jay, I need to talk to you," Nya had said to me earlier. Now we both were seated awkwardly at the edge of her bed.

"So Jay, first things first," she said, moving closer to me. She sighed.

She came close to my ear. "I love you," she whispered. I gasped.

"But you--I--you never said that before," I said, shocked.

"Yeah." She smiled at me warmly, and my heart melted.

"I never said that, yes. But I just did." She still had a weird edge to her voice, and she sounded a bit like she did after merging with the sea.

"But--but WHY??" I asked.

"Well, you know I left right? Merged with the sea, left you guys?" she asked me.

"Yep."

"And after that I realized it's not so good to be having such strict boundaries. You know? Like--ugh, I don't know how to explain it!!!" she wailed.

"I understood," I said helpfully.

"Thanks." she smiled warmly again, then kissed me on the cheek, surprising me.

"And...you can sleep in this room if you want. My bed's humongous," she said, surprising me even more.

"Thanks, Nya!!!!" I shouted happily, hugging her.

Then we both walked out of her room, and that's when Kai passed us with a wave and a wink. He usually only winked at Skylor. Weird.

Kai's POV

"Hey Skylor," I said, finding the redhead in the kitchen. She flipped an omelet before saying back, "Hey Kai."

I sighed awkwardly. "Well, you said we could save Ninjago before we think about us, and since we just saved Ninjago, I was thinking..."

"We could be a couple from now on?" she finished.

"Uh..." I instantly started blushing. "Uh, yeah, you, just, guessed it, hehe!"

"Sure," she replied.

"Wait, what?" I was absolutely shocked.

"I said sure."

"Eh, well, thanks," I came closer to her. Since Dareth wasn't around, I took the oppurtunity to plant a big kiss on her cheek.

She gasped. "Uh..." she looked at me, cheeks red and smiling, then wrapped her arms around me. We stayed like that for a while.
