Chaotic Bliss: Ninjago After Crystalized

Nya's POV

There was almost nothing to do now. I aimlessly roamed the hallways, deep in thought, when Kai bursted out of his room (which he and Skylor now shared), and winked at me.

Strange, I thought. He usually didn't do that.

"So, Kai, I've called Mom, and she said she's on her way," I told him, "I had to kind of beg her and cried a little for that to happen."

Kai let out a small chuckle. "Ha, really? Anyway, when's she coming?"

"Today."

"Great." he winked again before walking away, but I ran after him.

"Kai! Kai! Question." I called, catching up to him.

"Yeah? Ask away," he replied.

I hesitated for a moment, then said, "Oh, nevermind. I forgot what I was gonna say." I lied. I'd discuss this with the others first.

Cole's POV

Everyone around me seems so bored, but I'm busy making plans for Shintaro, which I really feel close to.

That's probably gonna be the place I live when I'm older, but it depends. And again, I'd miss my friends so much that I wouldn't be able to survive peacefully.

I prefer to just live in the present moment, you know? Like, without thinking about all the stuff that doesn't--

Suddenly Kai bumped into me. "Hey," he said with a wink, and he joined me in my aimless wandering.

"So, what's up? We haven't got a chance to catch up in a while," I told him, trying to start a conversation.

"Nothing much, really. Nya's calling mom and stuff, just chilling, you know?"

"Yeah. Oh, hey, did you propose to Skylor yet?" I asked.

He slowly turned his head and looked at me with a face that read what the heck.

"What?! Obviously not! I tried my luck, but she was just like, 'oh, you ghosted me'!" His cheeks turned red.

"Okay, LOL. But you should try again, ya know?"

"Yep. Will do! Anyway! Seeya around!" he ran back into his room.

Lloyd's POV

I've been hanging out with Rumi a lot now that I know I can trust her.

But I did notice Kai's been acting a little, well, SUS.

"It seems there's an impostor among us," Harumi said when I told her that. We both laughed.

A while later, Rumi said she was tired and wanted to sleep, so she went into our shared room. I just walked around in the hallways, not expecting much.

That's when the impostor...I mean, Kai, found me.

"Hey greenbean," he said, rubbing my head. He was way taller than me, which is why he ALWAYS did that.

"Hey." I said, bored.

"So...how's your girlfriend?" he asked, being the sus impostor he is (I'm sorry, apparently Lloyd likes playing among us) and he bent down so he could see my reaction.

Obviously, I broke into a deep red blush, trying my best not to smile. "Uh...yeah, she's fine..." I said awkwardly.

That's when he winked again, which was totally weird, and then he leaned his face closer to me, so much that it was almost touching me.

I immediately jumped to the side, weirded out. "So! I guess I'll see you around, then," I said, waving and dashing into my room.

I waited till he left, then opened the living room door, where Nya, Cole, and Jay were seated.

"Nya, your brother's been acting SUS," I started.

Her eyes lit up. "He HAS!" she yelled back.

"You mean he's been winking and stuff?" Cole asked.

"Exactly!" agreed Jay.

"Yeah, he's like always winking. And I swear he tried to kiss me in the hallway," I said.

"He tried to WHAT?!" Nya screamed. "Okay, this is getting out of hand. I hafta talk to him, sometime soon."

That's when Kai entered. "Speak of the devil," Jay said.

"Hey bestie," he said, walking over to me and putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Hold up! He's MY best friend!" Cole hollered.

"No no no, he's MY best friend," Jay argued.

"Oh, really? Y'all are wrong, he's MINE!" Nya claimed.

"Who's your best friend, Lloyd?" Kai asked gently.

I lifted up my arm and pointed at Cole.

"ME?!" he yelled.

Then I moved my hand, to Kai, to Jay...to Nya.

"NYA?!" Kai and Jay yelled in unison.

"Oh YEAH! I'M his bestie!!" Nya yelled, throwing her arm around me. I smiled weirdly.

Just then the bell rang, and Kai and Nya gasped.

"It's MOM!!" they yelled, running off.
