Nya's POV

Me and Kai eagerly greeted Mom when she arrived.

"Hi kids," she said, patting us both on the head. I knew she was happy to see us. More than happy.

Everybody walked up to us. "Hi, all of you! Hi, Jay!" she said. I loved how she loved Jay.

"Oh, and who're you two? Think I've met one of you before?" she pointed to Skylor and Harumi.

"Oh yeah," Kai pitched in. "Mom, this is Skylor." his blush immediately told Mom who she was to him.

"Hi, Mrs. Smith," Skylor said, shaking her hand.

"Oh dear, please call me Maya," Mom replied, like always. "And you must be..."

"Harumi."

"Oh...Harumi, who took over Ninjago city with the help of Garmadon?"

"She's good now," Lloyd said, smiling. Harumi smiled too, unable to stop her blush.

"I see." Mom said.

"Well well," said Garmadon, immediately entering the room. "If it isn't Maya again."

"Uh...hello," Mom said a bit awkwardly.

"He's good now too." Lloyd told her. Mom nodded, then said to him, "Nice, huh? Nice everyone's good now!"

Lloyd smiled. That was all he could do, I knew he was really shocked at everything; his face showed it.

"Aaanyway," I said, just as Mom started saying hello to Wu and Misako. "Kai? I need to talk to you."

"Sure, go on."

"I mean, PRIVATELY talk to you?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Sure, let's go to your room." Kai suggested.

"You mean me and Jay's room." I corrected him.

"Kinda weird how you both are sharing a room," he remarked with a smirk.

"Hm? What about you and Skylor?" I playfully kicked him on the shin.

He broke out into an instant blush. "Eh, heh heh..."

"Anyway..." I opened my room door.

Kai's POV

"I just wanted to ask..." Nya started.

"WHAT THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN DOING LATELY?!?!"

I was startled. "What do you mean?"

"Jay, Cole, and Lloyd say you've been winking at them, and I've seen you wink at me too!"

"Uh...yeah...it's just a habit?" I replied, not wanting to tell her the truth.

"Really?" she pressed. "Well, Lloyd says you even tried to kiss him."

I blushed weirdly. "Well...what do you want from all this?" I asked her.

"I wanna know WHY. I want answers," she replied.

"Alright, sis. I can't answer right now...I'll need a few days...to frame my sentences and stuff.

"You have to prepare your answer?!" Nya gaped in shock.

"Well, kinda...like, it's complicated."

"Fine, fine." She opened her room door.

"Guys!" Cole shouted from downstairs.

"C'mon, let's see what's up!" I called to Nya, and we ran down.
