"I know nothing. I don't know who he was or why I killed him, I was just doing my job."
You couldn't imagine the guy sitting in front of you being what he claimed to be- a meticulous hitman with an impressive kill streak. He seemed to be sloppy, but something about his nonchalant attitude worried you.
"Who hired you?"
"Don't know," he responded honestly. "He didn't give me a name or anything. And he was wearing this mask," he made a gesture with his hands over his face.
"A mask?" You knew that could be anyone, but one very distinct person came to mind and it gave you chills. "Did he have a tattoo?" You pointed to your neck. "A dragon," you specified.
"Oh yeah he did," he thought back to the man that hired him. "He was tall. Paid me lots of money to dispose of that guy," he spilled all the information he had without putting up a fight.
"You're pretty bold for telling us this. You're either extremely stupid or this is all a trap," you speculated.
"Unfortunately sweetheart I've got nothin' else for ya."
"I see," you bit your lip and shared a look with the boys. You had plenty of questions, all of which you knew he couldn't answer. He really was just and outsider, anonymously hired for the one job.
"You got lucky- I don't usually let anyone live but, you've got impressive reaction time," he pointed to the bullet wound in his stomach. "And I didn't see myself having a chance against the tin man."
"Tin man?" Alphonse sulked at the nickname.
"Watch your mouth," you spat with a fire in your eyes.
"Or what?" He tested you.
You pulled a pocketknife from a hidden pocket inside your sleeve and stabbed it down on the table between his fingers.
The brothers jumped in shock, a sickening blue aura shrouding them as they sunk back in their seats. Scary...
"Want to find out?" you dared him. He whistled and leaned over the table, looking deeper into your big eyes.
"You're feisty. I like feisty girls," he gave you a twisted grin.
Edward stepped in front of you, unable to hold in his rage at this point. "Alright pal-" he wore a comically angry face with threatening eyes that spoke loudly. You put your hand on his arm, telling him it was okay. Your touch rapidly cooled his head but he looked back at you with an unsure expression. You pulled him back down to the seat next to you, keeping your hand on his arm as you continued your investigation.
"You don't seem to care much that you were caught," you said to him with a suspicious undertone. He shrugged his shoulders and sat back in his seat, perfectly relaxed.
"I'll be out of here in no time. And when I am, I'm comin' for ya," he threatened with a crazed look in his eyes, and a smirk that made you feel icky.
You breathed a chuckle and shook your head. "Don't be so cocky. Once he knows you were caught he'll kill you himself," you stood up and the brothers followed suit. You pulled your knife from the wooden table, slipping it back into your pocket.
"Who?" He asked, watching you as you walked.
"The guy who hired you," you looked back at him. "Watch your back asshole," you said before you pushed open the door.
Edward noticed his eyes followed you with malicious intent. A jealous and protective flame grew in his core. He walked directly behind you glaring back at him the whole time and making sure he wouldn't be able to watch you with his perverted eyes.
