It was silent as Norie heard Nicholas shift to rest his legs on the dashboard and lean back on the seat, he sighed and said "mind telling me what happened to your father?"

"Zan!" A 16 year old Norie cried out as he had shoved her into the sewer.

The man smiled down at her as an explosion passed by and he disappeared into the flames above her.

"It's a long story" Norie responded quietly.

"Understandable" Nicholas says and he grabs her old sweater, laying it on him as he crossed his arms behind his head and closed his eyes.

She stayed quiet as she tried not to tear up, Norie just rolled down the windows so the sound of the wind could relax her.

Norie glared at the sand dunes she drove on as Nicholas' snores echoed in her ears, her eye twitched as she gritted her teeth and gripped the steering wheel.

"Relax... relax...just relax..."she mumbled in annoyance as his snore sounded off again.

Nicholas yelled when his forehead was slammed into the dashboard making him sit up and hold it.

"Oh no darling, did you fall forward? are you okay?" Norie asks innocently as she patted his head as he only yawned.

"You don't have to sleep any longer since we made it to our destination"

Nicholas rubbed his eye as they parked a couple feet away in the dark since the rundown cities club has lights brighter then the sun, all the different colors illuminating the old rust of buildings and homes.

"Come on let's go, don't draw so much attention" Norie says as she loaded her gun and then handed it to Nicholas.

"I don't need it"

"Who said I was giving it to you? I need you to hold it for me since I don't have much to hide it" she said and puts the gun inside his suit jacket.

They stepped out as Nicholas carried his cross on his back while he followed closely behind Norie.

"Wait did you lock the door to the trailer?" She questions as she stopped and turned to him.

Nicholas hummed and thought making her glare and says "did you lock the door?"

"I'm trying to remember, stop interrupting my thoughts" he said and shoved her face away softly with his hand.

"Nicholas!" Norie spat out as she smacked his hand away.

"No"

She gritted her teeth and yelled in anger as she held herself back from wrapping her hands around his neck but only stomped away and he followed. The music bursting through their ears as people danced, drank and socialized around them.

The young adults cringed with the same faces, knowing that they have been rubbing off on each other the last few months. They quickly made their way through.

"Keep an eye out for the ones wearing black masks, they know how I look, so a heads up would be good" Norie said over the music.
