"That's...an ion cannon"
"Ion cannon?!" Meryl repeated in shock.
"C'mon you gotta be kidding me" Roberto started with a sigh.
"Not only is the ship going berserk, there's also a huge cannon? Welp I say it's time to throw in the towel" he spoke as he sat on the floor and took out his flask.
"Roberto!"
"Darling relax no one's tossing anything" Norie says as she nudged Meryl.
"Don't get the newbies hopes up"
"Roberto!" Meryl cried as she held Norie's arm.
"Norie"
She turned to see Vash looking at her, he opened his mouth as Norie waited for him to say something.
"What's wrong?" She questions.
He stared down at her as he says "I just, I just wanted to say that I don't want you getting hurt just to save me. That's all."
Norie blinked as she smiled softly, tilting her head and said "well Vash you're to adorable not to save"
Meryl and Roberto froze as Vash blanked, he tried saying something but nothing came out. Though he stopped when Norie laughed.
"Even if you being adorable is true, it's not only the reason why, I like helping people who care." she spoke.
Vash smiled but then was cut off when Norie was grabbed by Nicholas, pulling her away from him as she glared and said "oi what the hell?!"
"You have a bug on you"
"Seriously?! Nicholas I know there's nothing! I would've felt it-"
Norie yelled when he smacked her back, she jumped slightly as he then rubbed it after. She smacked his hand away and before she can argue he spoke.
"We're stopping both the ion cannon and the ship."
"Seriously? Do you know how?"
"Of course I freaking don't!" Nicholas responded.
"But we'll make it happen with guts and grit!"
"Huh? That's nonsense!" Meryl said.
"We'll think of something" Norie says as Nicholas looked down at her.
