Alma had been off, since you'd caught her out the other night. She wasn't talkative and always had a blank or sad look on her face. The children had of course also picked up in this. Which also basically made the whole household depressed. You'd caught the younger children just sitting around with each other, not even talking or anything. Just sitting on the ground and starring at nothing and no one in particular. Honestly it was depressing! You decided to snap out of your thoughts to head upstairs to Emma's room. She had to know something. You half ran up the stairs just wanting this whole mood to end.
"Emma!" You whisper shouted. The house was awfully quiet making it feel unwelcome to talk in. The girls door opened and she shot you a smile -as the only one in the house!- letting you enter.
"Okay so, jumping straight into it here." You said gesturing with your arms to empathise your point.
"Alma had an abusive ex wife!?" You finished and the girls gaze snapped to meet yours.
"Is that why she's been so off?!" She half shouted back, while walking over to you and grabbing you by the shoulders.
"Okay i know how to fix this... okay i know partly how to fix this. And you're in that plan so listen close!" She said seriously which was utmost unusual for the girl, making you listen immediately, as she went on planning.
