The next morning you wake up in a new bed

The next morning you wake up in a new bed. You roll over, facing the sunlight beaming in to get a better look at your surroundings, and see Adam laying bedside you. No shirt. No pants. No nothing.

In a split second, after the entire night flashes through your brain, you sit up with wide eyes. The covers that were once shielding you from the cold room fall down to your lap and you stare, bare-chested, across the room.

No way that all really happened, you think to yourself. But just then, Adam hums beside you and wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you a bit closer.

You look down at him with heat rising in your cheeks. He's super handsome, and was nice about the whole thing. He really did seem like he genuinely wanted to get married to you. So what now? How are you going to break it to him that you certainly don't want to be married, let alone to a near stranger!?

Careful not to wake him, you slip his arm off your body and slide quietly out of bed. You gather your clothes and pull your things together. There, in a pile with your wallet and house keys, you find the marriage certificate and a cheesy picture of the two of you standing outside the drive-thru window.

"Shit," you mutter to yourself, "I need to get the hell out of here."

With that, you quickly rush out of the house. However, you soon realize that you've got no idea where you are. But knowing you need to get far away from Adam as possible, you begin to walk down the street as you call for an uber.

When it arrives, you quickly climb in and thank the driver profusely, who seems to be a bit confused seeing as to how it's literally his job to drive people where they want to go.

About twenty minutes later, you arrive at Faye's apartment complex. Once more you thank the driver before stepping out and climbing the staircase to Faye's second-floor apartment.

When Faye groggily opens the door, she's quite surprised to see you. "Y/N," she calls out. "Hey, are you alright? You look like hell."

"I think that's where I went last night," you grumble as you step inside and plop down on her couch.

"What do you mean? Did something happen with Hinata?"

"Something like that," you grumble. "Hey, is Noha here? I'd like to tell you both at the same time."

"No, she's not," Faye shakes her head. "But we can call her if you want."

"That's a good idea," you nod as you sit up. Faye then sits beside you and dials Noha's number.

Now that you've got both of your friends to hear you out, you begin to tell your story starting with dancing with Hinata and ending with waking up at Adam's house. When you finish, they're both completely speechless. You're almost unsure if Kotonoha even heard you since she's so quiet over the phone.

"So, uh, that's the story," you shrug as you look over at Faye.

"You're joking," she gasps in disbelief after an awkward pause. "There's no way that really happened. You must've dreamt it."

"There's no way you'd actually marry some stranger," Kotonoha agrees over the phone.

"Yeah, well, I actually have proof it really happened," you tell them as you reach into your wallet. You then pull out the carefully folded marriage certificate and the photo of you and Adam at the chapel.

"No freaking way!" Faye gasps for a second time as she sees your evidence. "Oh my god, you weren't joking."

"Nope," you shake your head as you take a photo of the two items and send it to Kotonoha.

"Holy shit," she remarks over the phone the second she receives the picture.

"Do you have a ring, too?" Faye then asks as she gently holds out her hand to you.

With a sigh, you reach your arm towards her and place her hand in yours. Her eyes glisten the second she sees the beautiful diamond and sapphire wedding band on your finger.

"Oh my god, is that Vera Wang?" she asks as she inspects the ring closely.

"Yeah. He gave it to me after the wedding, when we got back to his place. He told me it was his grandmother's ring," you grumble. Seriously, how are you going to give back his grandmother's ring the day after you accepted his proposal?

"Shit, Y/N, what are you going to do?" Kotonoha then asks. "You can't stay married to this guy."

"And what about Hinata?" Faye chimes in.

"What about him?"

"Well, you know, I'm pretty sure you still like him even though you're married to a completely different person," she shrugs.

"I don't know," you sigh. "I doubt he's ever going to want to hear from me again."

"That's not what it sounded like to me," Kotonoha interrupts. "He wanted to make sure you got home safe. He cares about you, Y/N. You've got to tell him something!"

"Dammit," you grumble. "How can I even face him now?"

"Then... maybe... don't?" Faye shrugs.

When your eyes meet hers, the look of confusion rings out in both of you. Neither of you has been in a situation like this before so obviously, neither of you knows what to do.

"Well it's not like she can just text him 'oh hey, by the way, I got married last night so we can't see each other anymore, have a nice life'," Kotonoha sighs. "What do you expect her to do?"

"Maybe she's right. Maybe she can't face him again," she says to Kotonoha, but still looks straight at you.

"He's friends with her brother. They're bound to meet sometime again. And even if they don't, he'll still find out. Sawamura won't be on his honeymoon forever."

"Well at least I've got a few days to figure it out then," you shrug.

"A few days will go by in the blink of an eye," Kotonoha warns you. "Be careful, Y/N."
