Later that night, you and Sawamura head downtown to one of the more popular clubs in the area. Although it takes you a good fifteen minutes to get in after standing in line, you both find yourself inside. Together, you stumble through the crowd and make your way to the bar and order drinks. Sure, you may be on some unofficial business, but you're not about to pass up a drink when you're hunting down your new husband.

Less than an hour into your not-so-undercover operation, people begin to interact with the two of you. One woman, for instance, a beautiful short girl with light blue hair, clears her throat as she stands before you and your brother.

"'Scuse me, but, uh, my friend was wondering if she could get your number. She said she thinks you're really handsome and, well, that friend of mine is actually me," she smiles politely. "My name's Judi."

"That's very kind of you to say, Judi, but unfortunately I'm taken," he replies equally as politely.

"Oh?" she says a bit confused as she looks between the two of you. "I'm so sorry, I didn't realize."

"No, no, she's my sister. It's not like that," he begins to splutter.

"So then you're here without a date of any kind?" another girl gleams from behind Judi. "Just looking for someone for the night then, I suppose?"

Sawamura takes a deep breath (and a drink from his cup) before turning to the girls and explaining calmly "I'm married. My wife isn't here, but that's only because I'm in charge of babysitting my little sister tonight. Unfortunately, she's married, too."

You smile cheesily as you hold up the wedding band on your left hand.

"Ugh, sick," the girl behind Judi gags as she looks between the two of you. "You married your sibling?!"

"Didn't you hear what he just-" you begin before giving up as the two girls begin to walk off. "And that's why I don't do the bar scene," you then hum to yourself.

"Says the girl who got proposed to at a bar. When was that again? Last week?" he provokes you a bit drunkenly.

"Can I ask you something?" you then change the conversation. "There's something I've been wanting to ask."

"Go for it," he shrugs as he downs the rest of his drink. "I'm all ears."

"When we were at your office today. I mean, when you left and I was on your computer... I saw a folder named Fuyuko on there and I was wondering if that was like your wedding planning folder you didn't delete or something..." you ask a bit unsure.

"Ah shit, you saw that?" he sighs.

"Clear as day on your desktop isn't really a good hiding spot, Sawamura," you tease.

"Did I ever tell you how I met Fuyuko?" he then asks.

"Uh, yeah, at some dog part, right?" you shrug, a bit hazy on the details. Sawamura's never had a dog anyway.

"Y/N, be for real. I've never owned a dog. The real story is that I met Fuyuko at work," he sighs.

"Oh. Like some sort of undercover work?" you whisper, not sure if the two of you should be talking about this out loud.

"No, not quite like that," he shakes his head. "I was working on her case. Well, her husband's case to be exact."

"What're you trying to say?" you ask, now baffled by his words. Fuyuko was married before Sawamura?

"Fuyuko's husband was found, uh, dead in the woods by some hikers. She was our prime suspect in it all. But when it came time she was found not guilty, I decided to ask her out."

"You've got to be kidding me," you scoff. "Didn't you say I was the dumb one!?"

"Y/N, it wasn't her. I just told you she was found not-"

"If you really believe that then why do you have her file on your work desk?" you insist.

"Can we please not talk about this right now," he grumbles. "If you want to worry about someone's dating life you should worry about your own. Hinata's a good man. He likes you. And you met him in a healthy way," he says, to which you scoff. "You can be mad at me all you want but I know you still care for him."

"Can we just stick to the matter at hand?" you sigh. "It's starting to get late. Should we try calling the Uber?"

"Sure," he nods.

The two of you then walk outside and find a bench to sit on along the street. Sawamura begins the request and waits until, hopefully, Adam accepts it. He cancels nearly a dozen times until finally, miraculously, a picture of Adam shows up.

"That's him!" you gasp, unintentionally swiping your brother's phone to get a better look. "Oh my god, it actually worked!"

"Don't go getting your hopes up yet, Y/N, he isn't here yet. There's always the chance he could cancel," Sawamura reminds you.

"He won't. I just have a feeling."

The two of you then wait about five minutes before a black sedan pulls up right before you. With Sawamura's back turned toward the street, you lean forward as the driver rolls down the window.

"Uber for Evelyn?" you smile as Adam's face comes into view. "Ah, Darling, there you are. So glad we found you!"

"Shit," Adam murmurs as he reaches to lock the car doors. However, Sawamura's already got his hand on the door handle and is forcing it open.

Adam's next plan is pretty stupid in your book. He opens his own car door and runs right across the street, leaving his car behind. Sawamura immediately takes chase. You stand there for a moment, a bit stunned, before deciding to chase after them. However, just as you end up crossing the street, you watch as your brother pummels Adam right into the ground.

"What the fuck, man. You're freakishly strong. I'm a boxer, you know!" he grumbles from the pavement.

"I'm guessing you've never won a fight then," your brother teases. "Get the hell up. You're coming with us."

Moments later, Sawamura's got Adam in the front passenger seat of the car with his seatbelt on and the child safety lock on. Meanwhile, he takes the driver's seat as you sit directly behind him, silently watching in case Adam decides to do something stupid.
