do you feel the same way? (Basil x Reader)

You wake up and find yourself still on the hill with Basil hugging you, asleep. You attempt to get up but then sit down with Basil still hugging you.

Around 10 to 15 minutes later, Basil finally wakes up.

Basil: Hey Y/N..

Y/N: Oh, you're awake-

Basil hugs you a bit tighter, basically refusing to move.

Y/N: Uh, Basil? You do realize we need to go-

Basil: Not right now..

Y/N: Really Basil?

Basil: Just a little bit longer..

Y/N: No, Basil- we need to go-

Basil: Stay here.. a little bit longer.. please..

Y/N: Okay, but not for long though..

Basil then goes silent.

Y/N: Basil?

You look at Basil and... he's now asleep again. You sigh and lay down on the grass, slightly moving Basil. You watch as he moves closer to you, still hugging you. You start calmly playing with his hair as you wait for him to wake up again.

It takes a long time for Basil to wake up, you probably think it's been a couple hours at most.

Y/N: Basil is still asleep? Damn- oh, wait, you're awake!

Basil: Yep, hey Y/N..

Y/N: Anyway, what time is it?

You check the time and..

3:28pm.

It really has been a long time.

Basil: Yeah, I was asleep for a while, wasn't I?

Y/N: You've been asleep since 9am, it's now 3:28pm.

Basil: So it's been like 6 hours?

Y/N: Nearly 7 hours-

Basil: Damn-

Y/N: Yeah, we should get going now.

Basil: Yep, let's go-

Basil gets interrupted by Kel running to you.

Kel: You were here.. the entire.. time?

Y/N: Uh, yeah?

Kel: I've been looking for you two literally everywhere..

Y/N: Sorry, I should have told you-

Kel: Nah, don't worry.. anyway, how much longer are you two going to stay here?

Basil: Well, we were about to leave before we saw you running over-

Kel: Oh, well let's go then!

Basil: Yeah!

You walk for about 15 minutes, but it feels like forever. You also realize you and Basil have quite literally not eaten anything.

Kel: Anyway, I'm gonna quickly go inside my house and grab something, if I don't come back, I probably died from falling down the stairs.

Sunny will remember that.

Y/N: Yeah, okay!

He in fact, never came back out. He didn't die though, he just went up to his room and fell asleep for the rest of the day.

After waiting for about half an hour with no sign of Kel, you and Basil decide to leave and get some food.
