another day (Bucky xreader)

Y/n pov

    The door burst's open "Y/N WHERE WHERE YOU?!" Bucky yells. Crap, Steve, Tony, and Bruce both come springing into the room. "PETER BENJAMIN PARKER!!! WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT BEING AROUND HER?!" Tony screams. "Shoot." Peter says, hanging his head. "She's a MONSTER you don't go near her do you understand?" Tony growls. "But I-'' Peter tries to protest. "No I don't want to hear it!" Tony stops him. "But Mr. Stark, she's really cool and super nice! I think she's just miss-understood." Peter says. "Don't fight him Peter he's right." I say.

    "Y/n we need to get you back in the lab-" Bruce says. "I'm not going." I say cutting Bruce off. "Run along soldier." Tony says and I give him a look that could kill. "I'm leaving." I say and am about to leave when I hear Tony. "You know what I don't get? Is how Fury could let a MONSTER like you join." Tony says. "Tony stop before you make things worse!" Bucky says. "Mr.Stark I think you should calm down." Peter says. "Stay out of it kid! Do you even know who she is?" Tony barks. I quickly turn around and that makes the room go cold. "Don't yell at the kid like that." I growl. "You don't have a voice in this Red Soldier!" Tony barks. "Tony enough! Just stop and let's talk about it later. Now is not the time." Steve commands.

    "Trust me you haven't met the Red Soldier." I hissed. "Oh like I couldn't handle you." Tony provosts. I go and storm out slamming the door. Then I hear Bucky calling my name. "What do you want, Barnes?" I growl. "Y/n I'm sorry for yelling, I thought that something happened to you. You don't have to go back to the lab." Bucky says. 

    "You know I get out of HYDRA but at the same time, I'm just in another facility." I say. "I know how it feels. When I joined I was always there. Bruce running tests, fixing my injuries that I caused, after every nightmare I was in there. But nothing will happen. Bruce is a good guy." Bucky says. "Look, it's late how bout we go to bed and get some rest." Bucky bargains. "Ok." "Can I walk with you?" he asks. I nod. We get to the elevator and are in an awkward silence.

    "I'm sorry if I've been over protective, I just don't want to lose you again. And I'm sorry for Tony he's a little salty that you kicked his ass when you first met him." Bucky says. "Maybe he should learn how to fight." I say with no emotion and Bucky just laughs. We arrive at our floor and then he walks me to my room. "Sleep well. If you need anything let me know ok." Bucky says. "Ok night." I say going into my room. I take my shirt off and find a pair of shorts, leggings, and some t-shirts. There's a note on top of the pile of clothes. (Here are some clothes that should fit. Natasha)

    That name sounds familiar but I shake it off. I take off my pants and put on the shorts that Nat gave me. I go to sit on the bed but then get off. It's still too much, it feels like I'm sinking and going to suffocate. I look over and the clocks at 1:37 am. I get up and put a shirt on and then head out of my room and go to the elevator. I make my way to the rooftop. Once I'm up there I lay down and just look at the stars and listen to the cars go by.

    I sit there and just think about the day. I think about Tony, Bruce, Bucky, Steve, but most importantly Peter. I think about how innocent he is, I think about how his name is familiar and how his face seems familiar. After a while I start to think of HYDRA and wonder why I can't remember anything about me.

    Eventually the sun starts to come up and I decide to make my way down to my room. On my way down I see Nat. "Thanks for the clothes." I say. "No problem. Hey Wanda and I have been talking and we're going to take you shopping soon." she says. "But I can't go outside." I say. "We'll take care of it. Oh! And can You tell Steve and Bucky that breakfast is almost ready?" she says. I nod and then make my way to my room.

    When I go to Steve and Bucky's floor I think about how she looks, her flaming red hair, her blueish green eyes, and the way she stands. I can't seem to shake it but I know her. I know I do, I just don't know how or where I know her from.

    As I go up Steve, Bucky, and someone new is sitting in the lounge area. "Y/n this is Sam Willson. He is one of the Avengers." Steve says. Sam gets out of his chair and walks over to me holding out his hand. I don't shake it, I was taught to be kept to myself, I also don't like physical contact. "Breakfast is almost ready." I say and then leave to go to my room. As I walk in I see another pile of clothes on my bed. There's a short sleeve t-shirt that is navy green and a pair of black jeans. There is another note, so I pick it up and read it.(Hi I brought you some clothes. Nat and I are taking you shopping tomorrow at 12:00pm.:) Wanda.)

    I take off my shorts and put on the black jeans. I hesitate to put on the shirt, then I remember that Peter has school. He said that he has school Monday-Friday. So I take off my shirt and put on the one that Wanda gave me. I hear a knock on the door and Bucky comes in. "Hey Y/n you want to come to breakfast with me?" he asks. "Sure" I reply. As we walk I see him eyeing up my metal arm. It's a darker metal and has a red octopus on the shoulder. Unlike his which is a lighter color and has a red star. "Not my choice." I say. "Oh sorry I didn't mean to stare." he says. "I fell off a train." he adds with a chuckle. "Blown off." I say. "Oh"

    Once we arrive I start to get really self conscious about my arm. Also not to mention how the other arm also has scars running up and down. We go to sit down, not everyone is here yet but we start to dig in, really just Bucky, Steve, Clint, and that new guy from this morning, along with Natasha. I have a feeling today is going to be a long day.
