[ HAHA HI LITTLE WARNING.. this is kinda venty, theres nothing bad just my typical cheating angst. But this one hits a little closer to home. But ive updated some things on the story info and I hope you enjoy this long awaited chapter.]

Socks and Meme's relationship had been rocky from the start. Meme's idea of love was the one of a typical frat guy, having a new girl on his arm every week. Socks definitely knew what it was like to move from person to person, but their love was treated more like a hookup then what he had wanted. It felt like his messages were constantly filled with pictures of Meme with other men and women from the friends who worried about their relationship. It was a routine, he'd see the pictures, they'd argue and yell, break up, then Meme would come back days later missing him.

And it was happening again, he woke up to messages from his friends about the cheating. Meme wasn't the best at hiding his adultery, but that just made it worse for the man he had at home. The feeling he grew used to is all he felt, emptiness, he lost the feeling of heartbreak forever ago and yet he was to scared to let go. He walked around his home, his home with his "lover", and obsessively stared at the images. He needed to let go of their failing relationship but he couldn't, he loved this man with all of his heart. The brunette stumbled back to his room, his shared room, and fell onto the bed. This was a breaking point, well needed tears started to form and spill down his face after what felt like years, the feeling of emptiness turned into feelings of guilt. Was he just not good enough?

Of course he wasn't, the man he had dedicated to himself for years never loved him back. His emotions were consuming him as the guilt turned to anger, at himself and the time he had wasted. The light of his phone burned his eyes as he found the wannabe doctors contact, texting him.

"get to my house now memegod, we need to talk"

The phone dinged, catching Meme off guard. "Who's that?" "I'll see." His fingers trembled as he grabbed his phone, he knew who it was, he knew what he did. He just hated hearing the anger of it. The doctor read the message and its what he thought exactly. "I need to go." He quickly got up, but a hand of his wrist almost pulled him back down "What did you do this time." "You know, everyone knows. Let me just go get it over with." "I'll be here for you, Meme."

His head spun, it always did, he was in the back of an Uber and only with his thoughts and some pop playing on the radio. He knew what he did was wrong, but he felt so terrible.. he was ruining the life of someone he carried for, and the yelling hurt his heart. He didn't know why he did it, he wasn't cut out for a relationship and they both knew it. Yet they both stayed because they didn't want anyone else to have the other. The house came into his view and the air caught in his throat. It felt like time skipped, and suddenly he was at the door. The knob spun and he walked in, he didn't see the astronaut. All he saw was an empty living room with soft sobs breaking the silence, and thats when reality set in. He shattered, and he had shattered the heart of his best friend.

It felt like suddenly he was in the doorframe to their room, his head was clouded as he looked at the pitiful sight in front of him, Socks was curled up in bed with his phone stuck in his hand. This is were the sobs were coming from, they were louder, the doctor stepped in alerting the brunette. He quickly sat up and tried wiping away his tears. "I-I dont- I dont want you s-seeing me like this.." His voice broke, it shattered Meme even more, he came closer and engulfed him into a hug. "Im so sorry." He mumbled, causing the astronaut to pause. He didn't expect those words or the warmth around him. "I-I.." He was hesitant as he spoke, he didnt want to say the words and he hated hearing how weak he sounded. "I dont want you in my life.. anymore Meme."

Then the room was completely silent as the warmth had left as quickly as it was brought back. "I understand.. I'll come back for my things later this week." Then he was gone.

He looked down to his phone and sent the message.

"im finally free"
