Estelle's POV
Ashley gave me a helpless look at Aspen's comment. I felt him stiffen noticing Ashley's look. I sighed and gave her a look to continue. I can't let her offend the most feared alpha because of me. She nodded her head and said "The alpha called you. He asked you to meet in his office. Alone." Ashley said the last word in such low voice as if she was afraid of angering Aspen.
I felt his arm around my waist tighten and anger radiated off from him. "Why does he wants to meet my mate alone?" Aspen growled.
I saw a shiver ran through Ashley's body at his loud voice. "I don't know Alpha Cornett." Ashley said as bowing to him showing her neck in submission.
"Looks like I need to have some personal talk with this Alpha Allen." Aspen said looking at the other guy, who is most probably his beta.
He then turned to me and said in a voice so soft and gentle that mine and Ashley's jaw dropped. "Stay here. I'll have a talk with that guy." Then he turned to Ashley and said "Stay here with her."
He the gave me a peck on my left cheek and left.
"Wow, is he really the cruel and heartless Alpha that everyone talks about?" Ashley said still looking at the door. "I don't really know." I said and looked at her. She also turned her head in my direction and said as she made eye contact with me "I guess not being able to find his mate was what affected him."
I nodded as I didn't had words to reply to her. "So what are you going to do next." She asked talking about my search for my parents.
"Well, they are my priority right now. And I don't need any distractions." I said looking nowhere in particular.
"Estelle, you can't do this to him and yourself. If you ran away right now, your wolves will take it as rejection. And trust me, it's the worst thing that can happen to a wolf. Please don't do this. Specially to him. Look how happy he is after meeting you. If he lost you know he'll die. Please trust me, no one knows the feeling of rejection better than me. So please think about it." She said, pain laced on her voice.
She's right Estelle. Please don't run away from mate. Bella said in the back of my mind.
I nodded my head and said "I understand. I'll think about it."
She nodded, and I saw her eyes go blank. As soon as she came back she said with an apologetic look, "I'm sorry Estelle, I had to go. My dad's calling me. I nodded my head and went away, closing the door behind her back. I sighed and sat on the edge of bed thinking if I should still run away or trust Aspen and tell him everything?
Well he's a really good man, and I feel comfortable and safe in his arms. I like those tingles on my body, where our skin comes in contact. Hah..I don't really want to hurt this man.
I lay on the bed as I got lost into my thoughts. And I didn't realise when I drifted off to sleep.
I stirred in my sleep as I felt someone's warm hand touching my hair and face, it felt so comfortable that I leaned to that touch and again drifted back into my slumber.
