After I take a shower, I decide it would be best to just put on some comfy clothes. It's been a long day and I don't feel like trying to dress up. I rush out of my new room at the compound, trying to look for any recognizable person. As I walk out onto one of the bridges I see Steve, Thor, and Tony walking. I hang back a bit to try and hear what they are talking about.
"The rules have changed," I hear Steve say.
"We're dealing with something new," Tony replies.
"Well the Vision is artificial intelligence," Steve says.
"A machine," says Tony.
"So it doesn't count?" Steve asks. They must be talking about Vision being able to lift Mjönir. I think Tony's ego is a little bit bruised but he'll get over it. And Steve definitely could have lifted it if he wanted to. He's just too humble to actually do it.
"No," Tony replies. "It's not like a person lifting the hammer."
"Right, different rules for us," Steve says gesturing to him and Tony.
"Nice guy," Tony responds. "Artificial."
"Thank you," Steve replies.
"But I think you guys are forgetting about Lady Y/n," Thor tells the both of them. "To my knowledge, she is not of artificial intelligence." Thor raises his eyebrows at the two while they just stare at him with their mouths wide open. I just giggle quietly to myself as I watch their gaping faces.
"Yeah.. well," Tony says. "That's not the point. We're talking about Vision here."
"Yes well if he can wield the hammer he can keep the Mind Stone," Thor says as he looks at the pair. They all stop walking to listen to him better. "It's safe with the Vision. And these days, safe is in short supply." They walk in silence for a moment before Steve finally speaks up.
"But if you put the hammer in an elevator..." he trails off. That's an intriguing idea.
"It would still go up," Tony tells him.
"Elevator's not worthy," Steve replies. Before any of them have a chance to say anything else I run up and steal Mjönir from Thor's hand. I sprint in the opposite direction back into the compound. I hear several pairs of footsteps running behind me.
"Lady Y/n!" Thor yells after me. "What are you doing?!" I keep running until I reach an elevator. I press the button waiting for the elevator to open as the others catch up to me.
"You gave me the idea.." I trail off. "Now I have to test it out."
"Y/n..." Steve sighs. "Thor has to get going soon."
"But Steveeeeee," I whine. "It'll only take a second plus, we're already here anyways."
"I mean I kind of want to see what happens myself," Tony backs me up.
"Thanks, tin can," I tell him.
"Call me a tin can again and I'll ground you," he says sternly.
"What?!" I respond. "You can't do that."
"Can too," he says. "Your father told me I could."
"Well, what about missions?" I ask.
"Fine," he responds. "Other than missions. But no phone."
"Well I need my phone to contact everyone," I reply.
"Then no more computer," he tells me.
"I need the computer for school," I say.
"Then no TV," Tony replies starting to get frustrated.
"My TV is broken," I respond.
"Why is your TV broken?" Steve asks me.
