Ominis POV
Location Setting: Hogsmeade
The sun was shining brightly, and a gentle breeze was blowing as we strolled through the hamlet, accompanied by the sound of buzzing bees. As we walked hand in hand, I couldn't help but express my desire to witness the beauty of spring flowers, despite my inability to see them.
"It's a pity that I can't see the flowers, but I've always wanted to take a walk like this during springtime," I smiled as we continued walking.
"I never knew you enjoyed being outside, Ominis," Y/n remarked. "I always assumed you preferred being in the dungeon, listening to the creatures in the Great Lake," she added.
"No, you've misunderstood me," I corrected Y/n. "I enjoy anything that is soothing and calming. Growing up in a notorious family, it's something that I sought out." I added.
"I often wonder about your parents, but I can't say the same about mine. I've never met them in my life," Y/n said as she tightened her grip on my hand.
She pulled me closer to avoid a collision with some rocks. "Be careful now, Ominis. We wouldn't want you to fall like you did yesterday."
I reminisced about the incident, I couldn't help but laugh to myself. I guess it is a bit funny to think about it again.
"My father is a brilliant man," I began to explain. "He spent decades studying Salazar Slytherin's ancient books and cryptic tombs, he eventually discovered the Chamber that had gone undetected for years. However, delving too deep into the dark arts slowly changed him and gave him more power. There's so much mischief in it that it must be wielded carefully," I continued.
"On the other hand, my mother is.. actually my aunt." I said shaking my head. "I never had a close relationship with her, so I don't really know much about her. Being born into a pure-blood family, always feel like a joke to me. Centuries of inbreeding have led to my siblings looking disheveled and me being blind," I finished with a frown.
Y/n tried to comfort me. "At least you got the good genes, Ominis. I'm sure any girl would like you if you just cheered up a bit."
I chuckled. "If Headmaster Black could get a wife and kids, then there's hope for me too. Maybe I could even escape and open a pub in Hogsmeade, just like Sirona did," I added.
"Anything you like, Ominis," Y/n replied. "I hope you and Sebastian will be there too," I added.
"I'll be there, Ominis. Don't you worry." Y/n comfort me as we arrived to Ollivander's wand store.
"I'll be outside." Y/n said to me, letting go of my hand grip.
"We should do this again, sometimes." I said. "Sure, invite me whenever you wanted to. I love going to Hogsmeade." Y/n added.
I smiled at her, but I didn't want to reveal my true feelings. It would be inappropriate to express my desire to hold her hand at any other time of day. I didn't want to come across as strange.
I realized that Sebastian was right; I had become somewhat of a madman, helplessly caught in my own emotions. "I must snap out of it," I thought to myself, trying to clear my mind.
"I'll be back with my wand." I said to Y/n.
