Y/n POV

Location Setting: Forbidden Forest

As the evening fell and the chill crept into my bones, I couldn't help but recall Professor Hecat's warning about the rise in dark wizards prowling the area.

"I wonder what's going on," I mused silently as I made my way towards an empty castle, the ground was muddy from the rain that had just ceased for the evening.

I came across the entrance, I couldn't shake off the feeling that ancient magic was lurking within the castle walls. The sun gradually disappeared behind the clouds, creating a dark and eerie atmosphere.

Tracking the remnants of ancient magic, I gathered them bit by bit. At last, I arrived at a spot where colossal stones obstructed my path. I cast "Depulso", and the boulders shattered into fragments.

As I drew closer to the final trace of the ancient magic that had been concealed within the castle, an eerie atmosphere pervaded the place, enveloping me in a shroud of darkness and chill. Innumerable whispers from countless voices echoed around me, and a shadowy figure materialized before my eyes.

Hiding myself behind the stones, I cautiously peered at the figure. Andrew's words from the other day came to mind. "It stands tall, shrouded in a hood, with skeletal fingers and a featureless face except for a dark, gaping void. If you want to avoid this one you need to have a great patronus with you."

"A patronus?" I asked him. "Yes, a patronus live within you, it's a powerful positive force. It can be taken in a form of an animal. I must say — mine is an osprey." He smiled while explaining it to me.

I reminisced about the study session that I had with Andrew, the chilly and desolate atmosphere dissipated with the absence of the dementors. It was peculiar to come across these demonic creatures outside of Azkaban.

Returning to Hogwarts, the hour was almost reaching curfew when I came across Duncan laying on his broom, midair.

"Duncan?" I asked, while still airborne infront of him. He jumped at the sound of my voice, nearly losing his balance, but quickly recovered and responded with a greeting. "Oh, hi there, Y/n," he said.

"What are you doing up here?" I asked perplexed by his reckless behaviour. Duncan confessed his anxieties, "It's the match tomorrow, Y/n. I just can't seem to gather the confidence to fly in front of so many people. The thought of a packed pitch is overwhelming."

"I'm not sure how much I can help, Duncan," I said, stretching and rubbing my head. "But have you tried imagining the crowd as something amusing? It might make things easier for you."

Duncan let out a sigh. "I'll give it a try," he said.

"You like flying, right?" I continued. "Why not treat it like a fun game? It's easier to succeed when you're not so focused on winning or losing."
