13th of May 2023 - Liverpool, England

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 was the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Liverpool, United Kingdom, as Ukraine, the winner of the 2022 contest with the song "Stefania" by Kalush Orchestra, was unable to host the event due to the Russian invasion of the country.

The coverage for the final had opened with a scene of the Princess of Wales playing the piano in a beautiful blue dress inside Windsor Castle,  the scene having been filmed earlier in the week to celebrate the contest being hosted in the UK.

The entire scene had been kept under wraps until the moment that it had aired, a pleasant surprise for most and not the only royal surprise planned for that evening.

Adeline took a deep breath, staring at herself in the mirror as she fixed her jacket as she went over what she had to say this evening.

The weather had been great and her trip to Liverpool, had flown under the radar and Adeline had been thrilled to accept this opportunity when they had reached out to ask her.

The door to the trailer opened, her Private Secretary stepping inside with a nervous look on her face; she closed the door behind her knowing that she had to speak with Adeline.

"My apologises, ma'am, but he's calling again," Kamari said stepping into the trailer where Adeline was getting ready, she held up the phone that had been ringing nearly non stop for about a week now.

It was a little unnerving and blocking the calls didn't seem to stop them from coming, it was strange how the calls had picked up shortly after the coronation had taken place.

Adeline paused, looking at Kamari as she pondered what to do; she had spoken to William when the calls had started and they had both agreed that whatever Mohamed Al-Fayed wanted couldn't be good.

The fact that he was reaching out just to Adeline set William on edge; the stories that man had told about their mother since her death unnerved them both.

"Block the number and send the number to the lawyers," Adeline instructed after a moment, she had no interest in speaking to the man that had spread such vile lies about her family insisting that they had been behind her mother's death.

Showcasing an engagement ring that he swore had been her mother's, that she had planned to marry Dodi and that was why she had been murdered, that she had been pregnant with Dodi's baby.

Adeline knew better, her mother had no intentions of marrying Dodi, she could still remember the last call they had shared where she had sounded so lost; the autopsy confirmed that her mother had not been pregnant at the time of her death.

Al-Fayed had refused to let go of the belief that the Royal Family and the Spencers were behind his son's death, every word he spoke about the accident seemed to detract away from the fact that it had been caused by an intoxicated and over-excited driver (an employee of Mohamed Fayed's Paris Ritz).

Everything that Al-Fayed had done since the tragic accident didn't sit well with Adeline, she didn't know what the man expected but it seemed like he was desperate to gain their attention anyway that he could.

Even going as far to offer to finance Scottish independence from the UK and that when the Scottish had their freedom he was ready to be their President.

It didn't stop there, Al-Fayed had even purchased her mother's old school and helped found the New School at West Heath for children with additional needs and mental health problems.

"I have no interest nor intent to speak with that man," Adeline said shaking her head, she didn't care what Mohamed had to say about anything; not when he was the cause of a lot of problems for her family.
