1st of June 2023 - Zahran Palace
On 22 May 2023, Queen Rania had hosted a traditional Henna party in honour of Al Saif at Madareb Bani Hashem.
Female members of both families attended. Al Saif wore a bespoke dress by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi.
Traditional Jordanian and Saudi songs were performed by Nedaa Shrara, Diana Karazon and Zain Awad, with performances by the Haleem Musical Group, Al Salt Girls Band and Misk Dance Company.
The party was followed by a dinner hosted by Queen Rania, who gave a speech commending her soon-to-be daughter in law.
On 31 May 2023, Hussein's first cousin, Prince Omar bin Faisal, hosted a groom's shower attended by male relatives and friends.
That evening, King Abdullah II hosted a banquet in honour of the wedding at Madareb Bani Hashem. Many tribal Chief, business men and public figures attended the dinner.
The wedding took place at 4:00 pm local time on 1 June 2023, at Zahran Palace.
Adeline and Simon walked together into the palace where the eldest son of the King of Jordan was set to be married; both having been invited to attend, along with William and Catherine.
The weather was beautiful and both of them couldn't have been more relieved that the wedding would be taking place later in the day rather than when the heat had been unbearable.
Adeline had opted for a pale blue dress with lace sleeves and a cape that covered her shoulders as part of the dress, Simon matched his tie to the blue of her dress.
While Catherine had opted for a pale pink dress for the occasion, her and William attending as representatives of the King marking the first time that they had done so since Charles had come to the throne.
It also was a sign of the closeness between the two royal families with Queen Rania named as a member of the Earthshot Prize Council in 2020, an initiative of William's to find solutions to environmental issues.
The couple were shown to their seats, both taking in the joyful atmosphere and the beauty of the occasion; it was like something out of a fairy tale.
The room was filled with many guests, people who had come from far and wide for the wedding of the Crown Prince and his bride; it brought back memories for Adeline and Simon, finding it hard to believe that they had been married for nine years now.
It was surreal to think how fast the time had gone, Simon didn't think there was anything that he would have changed about how things had happened for them.
They didn't have to wait long before William and Catherine joined them, the two couples had flown out together; using commercial flights rather than flying private and enjoying the break away together.
Despite the speculation if Harry and Meghan would attend, that seemed to crop up with anything these days; the planning for both couples to attend had been smooth.
The kids still in school for another few weeks and they wouldn't be in Jordan for long, they had Trooping the Colour to prepare for; the first since Charles had become King and there was a lot of expectations for his official birthday parade.
It was hard to believe that it had been a year since the platinum jubilee celebrations, the fact that it had been the last time that the public had seen the late Queen and had been completely unaware of her ill health.
The family had grown stronger since then, they'd had to with everything that had been thrown at them since and there was no way back for the Sussexes this time.
