Chapter Forty Three~The Amazing Rat Race

Later that night
Becca's P.O.V
"So let's head home," Phoebe said as she walked to the door.

"Come on, babe," I said as I followed her. We finally arrived home, and Phoebe went upstairs while Max and I stayed on the couch.

"Let's watch a movie then tomorrow. I can take you somewhere, " Max suggested

"That sounds great." I smiled. Max went to the kitchen to grab popcorn while I searched for a movie for us to watch. Max soon came back with the bowl of popcorn.

"Found anything yet, sweetheart?" Max asked.

"I think so." I said as I pressed play. Max placed the bowl on his lap while I snuggled closer to him. The movie was Transformers Rise of the Beast, and it was pretty cool. There was a lot of action. The movie finally finished, and so was the popcorn since I was quite hungry. "So where are we going tomorrow?"

"You'll see. Now let's head to bed, " Max said as he lifted me up and carried me to his room. I drifted off to sleep as soon as I hit the bed.

The Next Day
I woke up and went upstairs to see Phoebe in the kitchen. " Morning Phoebe," I said sleepily.

"Morning Bec," She answered. " You want a bowl of cereal?"

"Yes, please," I said. " I'm quite hungry." Phoebe handed me a bowl of cereal and a spoon, and I ate that pretty fast.

"Morning dweeb and good morning princess," I heard someone say as they kissed my forehead.

"Morning, Max," Phoebe said

"Good morning, babe." I said. The rest of the Thunder-Fam came downstairs and had breakfast. I was going upstairs to Phoebe's room since most of my clothes are up there.

"Hey princess, get ready so we could head out," Max said as he approached me.

"You still haven't told me where we are going," I said

"It's a suprise," He said and walked away. I walked upstairs to Phoebe's room and walked into her bathroom, and took a quick shower. I quickly got dressed and walked back out.

"Aww, you look so cute. Where are you going?" Phoebe asked.

"Max is taking me on a date," I replied

"Awww, have fun Bec." She answered. I waved her goodbye and walked downstairs to see Max by the couch.

"Hey, I'm ready," I said as I approached him.

"Oh - " he started as he turned around. " You look so beautiful,"

"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself," I said.

"Anyway, let's go," He said as he took my hand and led me out of the house. We went to Splatburger for lunch, and then Max took me to the beach the same one he asked me to be his girlfriend.

"Wow, the beach looks nice," I said

"Yh it is," He said. We were walking along the shore hand in hand. We found a perfect spot and sat down. "I love you,"

"I love you too." I smiled as I kissed him softly. I rested my head on his shoulder and watched the sunset until it was time to head home." I had an amazing time, babe,"

"Glad you enjoyed yourself." He smiled.

"Hey, how was your date?" Phoebe asked as she came into the living room.

"It was amazing." I smiled

"Anyway, I'll be down in my room," Max said as he pressed a soft kiss against my forehead.

"Okay, babe," I said. Phoebe and I just watched a series until she fell asleep, I went down to Max's room to find him by his computer playing GTA again. "Playing GTA again?"

"Yes, it's fun. Come here," He called. I walked over, and he pulled me onto his lap. He placed the control in my hand as he showed me how to play. "See fun."

"I guess you're right," I said. He pulled me into a kiss.

"Ew, I don't wanna see that." Dr.Colosso said.

"Well, cover your eyes," I said. Max's computer started ringing. " Who's that?"

"Dark Mayhem's calling," Dr.Colosso answered.

"My dad's calling you?" I asked, confused

"Yes, sweetheart," Max answered. He then went to answer the call.While he was talking, I was scrolling through my phone, looking at pictures of today. "Becca, come here," I placed my phone down and walked to Max.

"Becca, it is finally nice to see you, daughter." Dark Mayhem said.
