The purple bunny now knelt in front of the bear sitting on the blanketed shelf. "I came to check to see if you were doing alright," Bonnie blurted out. "But when I opened the door, you were in the middle of a nightmare!"
"Oh..." Goldie said, finally understanding why Bonnie had been standing over him in the backroom.

Honestly, he was really glad to see Bonnie again. It had been a while since they spoke, and the golden bear had stayed hidden, thinking Bonnie hadn't wanted to talk with him after all he had done. The other animatronics had left him alone while he spent the past weeks closed off in the small room. But Goldie remembered the both worried and caring look in Bonnie's eyes, when he learned what had happened with Shadow Freddy. Everyone had crowded around Freddy, Toy Freddy, and Goldie when they ascended from the basement back into the party room with TC and Mike; listening closely to Freddy's account of the plots this Shadow Freddy—with Goldie's help—had executed. Even after that, the bunny was still kind towards him now. Goldie had nearly forgotten: Bonnie was one of the only ones that didn't hate him.

"Are you okay?" Bonnie asked, in a nervous voice. The question snapped Goldie out of his thoughts. "You were talking in your sleep, but you looked like you were in a lot of pain, and I didn't know whether to call Mike for help, or wake you up..." The purple bunny's voice trailed off as he held the golden bear's hands in his own, noticing Goldie had started to shiver.
"No, Bonnie, I-I just had a bad dream," Goldie answered and stared at both of their hands in his lap, though he was still trembling. "But it's okay now."
Looking back up, Goldie caught a small trace of sadness in the bunny's face. Before he could ask what was wrong, Bonnie began to talk again.
"I thought that you didn't want to talk to me, and that's why you didn't come out again. I should've asked how you were doing sooner."
"Of course not!" Goldie said, squeezing Bonnie's hands tight. "I really, really like talking with you! I've just been...thinking. Yeah." Goldie had almost said love. Not that he didn't love Bonnie, he just wasn't sure he was ready to tell him yet. And there was an even bigger situation currently filling his mind.
Then he heard Bonnie give a small chuckle, and was glad to see that the bunny no longer looked upset. He was surprised and happy to know that Bonnie had missed him too!

"Good," Bonnie said. "If you ever need to talk, I'll always be here." Bonnie stated, with a soft, warm smile that Goldie wanted to be embraced with.
A bright red quickly filled the bear's face as he looked long and hard at Bonnie. After a few seconds, Bonnie gently pulled his hands awayand was that a quivering smile Goldie saw?—before finally standing up and returning to his normal, somewhat towering height.
"Would you maybe, head out with me?" The bunny asked, taking a step back and extending his hand in a welcoming gesture. "We could take a walk around if you'd like."
At the offer, Goldie's eyes brightened, and he smiled his same cute, toothy smile in a genuine kind of way, the one Bonnie loved.
"Yes!" Goldie sprang to his feet, and took Bonnie's hand, as the bunny opened the door so they could leave together.

Meanwhile...

Finn was just about to turn the corner into the main party room to speak with Goldie, since he thought he could share the most with the bear after they had become friends, when he spotted Goldie and Bonnie walking in his direction. The two were talking together and holding hands. Finn hadn't realized the two were so close, and he thought that Bonnie might actually be nice to Goldie, unlike the impression he got from most of the other animatronics. Though, he hadn't met everyone yet.
"Hey, Goldie!" Finn said, as he headed towards them. "Bonnie, right?" He asked in a slightly shy voice, as the two animatronics stopped in the hallway.
"That's me," Bonnie answered. "Nice to see you again, Finn!"
"Finn!" Goldie yelled, as he made his way towards the animatronic with outstretched arms. Finn cheerfully accepted the hug, happy to see Goldie once more.
"I'm glad you're here!" Goldie said. "How've ya' been?"
"I should be asking you that." Finn responded with an anxious expression, as the two let go to stand apart again.
"Oh, I'm good! Just had to take a small break!" Goldie brushed off the statement, finally resuming the proud look everyone was used to. "Join us! Let's go do something fun!"

Both Bonnie and Finn had been worried about Goldie's idea of fun, and Finn didn't like the idea of being teleported again, but they were glad to find that the three of them just hung out together for the beginning of midnight. Bonnie and Finn got to know each other better, though Finn didn't tell him why he was really sent to Freddy's and Bonnie hadn't thought to ask. They both enjoyed Goldie's company, and they now sat together on the main stage, while no one else was around. Bonnie and Finn sat next to each other, with Goldie beside the animatronic dog.
"Say, Finn," Goldie started in a curious tone. "I have a question for you."
"What is it?" Finn responded. Bonnie looked past Finn at Goldie with a questioning glance.
"At the restaurant you came from," Goldie continued, "Did you ever wonder how your old boss came to make you? I mean, if he had any other ideas for what you would be like?" Bonnie stared at Goldie with raised eyebrows, but waited as Finn took a moment to ponder the question. Finn averted his eyes away from Goldie and Bonnie, who both watched him steadily, before opening his mouth to speak.

"Well, I wouldn't know for sure," he began, "But the Boss used to document about us a lot and–"
"That's it!" Goldie jumped from the stage onto the tiled floor and started walking hastily in the other direction. Bonnie was already calling for him before Finn could even react.
"Goldie, wait!" Bonnie yelled as Goldie stopped and turned. "Where are you going?" He asked gingerly.
"I...think I'm onto something. I'll see you soon!" He said before teleporting away.
The two remaining animatronics exchanged a confused glance before Bonnie sighed and said, "I guess we'll just find him later. You can never tell what's going on with that bear." His face had returned to a calm look, and Finn gave a slight but still perplexed smile, before they also got off the stage and went away to do something else.

Goldie thought of where he wanted to go, the visual of the specific room he'd seen before already in his mind, and he felt himself disappear, though it lasted for barely a second. *POOF* And there he was! The Parts and Service room! Goldie knew what he was looking for, and as the single, bright light shone on his tall purple hat, he saw it. A TV with a built-in VHS player. He marched towards it (paying no attention to the mechanical exo and endoskeletons and parts in the room), reached his paws out to grab it by the dust-covered sides, and teleported to the backroom. *POOF* The golden bear took pride in his strange abilities, glad to know he could carry objects with him when he used his power to teleport. With a bit of effort, he took caution not to drop the TV and placed the somewhat heavy object on a stack of boxes, before going to a different corner of the room to open another box.

During his tormentful ten years in the backroom, Goldie had been immensely bored and useless. Aside from having no one to talk to except his Fredbear Plush, he had nothing to do except sit and wait for someone to unlock the door, cry, carve into the wall with his claws, cry some more, and search through the array of items in a few of the cardboard boxes labelled in marker all around the small closet. Though his mind ached at the memories of being locked away and trapped in the backroom, he urged himself to remember the assortment of weird things he'd found. And when Finn had talked about documenting, he'd realized that there was a box of VHS tapes he'd looked through before! The bear remembered hearing the grown ups talk about tapes like those in the past, and how you could record videos with them to play on TVs whenever you wanted.
"Aha!" Goldie finally said. "There you are." He dumped out the contents of the box he'd opened, and a handful of different colored VHS tapes fell onto the stained tiles. The golden bear scattered the tapes about, squinting his eyes as he skimmed over the names plastered onto the cassettes, before picking a bright purple one that read "FREDBEAR'S FAMILY DINER OPENING."

Goldie went over to his Fredbear Plush, taking the stuffed bear in his free hand. "You're gonna wanna see this too, little bud!" Goldie knelt down in front of the TV, and after sticking out his tongue while pressing a bunch of buttons, he managed to insert the new VHS tape into the empty slot. He squeezed his little Fredbear tight in his arms as the video fizzled, then started to play...

"Welcome to Fredbear's Family Diner, where fantasy and fun come to life! Here you'll find a magical restaurant, with pizza and games, birthday cake, and our very own special performers: Fredbear and Springbonnie! Let's meet our animatronic entertainers, right now!"

Goldie sat awestruck as he continued to watch the two golden animatronics wave and smile at the screen. Here they were. Again! As the recording ended with the bear and bunny singing and playing on stage for a mass of kids, he looked down at the Fredbear Plush and held the stuffed bear so he could stare into Goldie's eyes.

"Yeah. I guess...they are real."
