"Don't you think Freddy has been a little...different lately?" The brown bear himself paused outside the crack of light between the kitchen doors connected to the main room, furrowing his brows at the sound of what he knew to be Bonnie's voice.

"Well, I guess. No one's heard much from him in a couple o' weeks, Bon." Chica replied coolly in between the audible vibrations of silver pans and tin foil baking sheets, presumably being stored after usage.
"And he's been weird about Goldielocks too..." The buff chic added, weariness torn in her words, the aftermath of a bustling day.
"I know," Bonnie sighed. But, Goldie's never made it easy. The bunny contemplated rather mindfully. He thought of the strained ties he'd walked in on the night before.

The two bears had showcased equal matches of animosity, and he'd been an intruder to their quarrel. Often, the bears could be found bickering in the open; whether Goldie had played an awfully cruel prank or stolen someone's valued possession, and Freddy was looking to scold him, where traces of once-bounded brotherhood could still gain witness.
"Wished he'd tell us what was going on, though," Chica slightly griped, and pinched the bridge of her soft beak. Bonnie agreed as he passed her a wooden rolling pin that seemed miniaturized in her larger hand.

Freddy kept his distance outside of view, hand still frozen around the kitchen's door handle. Hardened eyes widened, shocked and mixed with something close to resignation. Is that what they think of me? The bear questioned, frowning slightly at the impartion. They could at least acknowledge that he was trying to keep them safe! He shook his head, releasing his strained grip on the kitchen's helve. Freddy presumed they'd be skeptical about his choices involving Goldie's infrequent attitude, but he hadn't exactly considered their feedback. Of course, that was my own doing. Freddy sighed, glowering at the bruised look on Goldie's face from last night.

The animatronic's bandmates knew Goldie's absence had begun putting him on edge, and they knew he would start asking questions sooner or later. The older bear thought it best to quell his surging irritancy, after finalizing his daily 'Fazbear-Fun' report-implemented to provide feedback and design the best birthday experience possible-deciding to check in on everyone for the night. He sought after a tranquil night, except in the case he absolutely needed to surcease Golden's objective...whatever it was.

He couldn't exactly tell what the golden bear was up to. Compared to the last time Goldie had caused trouble, disrupting the welcome party of the fairly new animatronic Finn, there was an apparent difference. From needling remarks to plain comments, and scheduled nuisances to imprecise pop-ups. Freddy had started to think unsurely after the very first week Golden fully disappeared. But even so, there was no possibility that Freddy had actually wondered where the bear had gone. ̶A̶n̶d̶ ̶a̶b̶s̶o̶l̶u̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶w̶a̶y̶ ̶h̶e̶'̶d̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶r̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶G̶o̶l̶d̶i̶e̶'̶s̶ ̶s̶a̶f̶e̶t̶y̶.̶

This is probably all a simple misunderstanding, Freddy surmised as such, trusting that his friends would understand his reasons. I'll have to speak to those two later, the bear took his leave disgruntledly. He stepped away from the kitchen doors, mentally noting to assure their friendship on his revisit, and turned away to leave.

Meanwhile...

Goldie laid flat against the backroom tiles, metallic limbs sprawled out. His stunned, voidless eyes fixed to the ceiling. The bear had been scared nearly half-to-death when the alarm bell rang out, an amplified rendition of the tune he'd sworn could be heard moments ago. Seconds even, when Fredbear...

He grumbled to himself, a wave of realization dousing him. The golden bear swept both paws over his face, turning to curl up on his side, fully rested body mingled tight. His claws uncovered his bashful expression, finally revealing the Plush bear seated on his bed. The vision he'd had, that place, all too overtaxing for him to accept it had been entirely real.
"Where did I even go?" Goldie asked into the distance, deliberating the stem of his diverting consciousness. More importantly: Could he go back? Fredbear might be of use to him, and he couldn't let the likelihood of uncovering so many answers go to waste. What worse, he already missed the older bear's effortless, comforting touch—
