In response, Jay tapped on the round device as the map of Night City appeared. On it, there was only a few dots left in the center of the map.

"You guys have been busy, I see," David said with an impressed grin.

"We had too much free time, so we went out of our way to find more refugees," Kiwi explained.

"Yeah! We found a lot more than what we usually find today," Lilac added.

"We're almost done here!" Rainbow exclaimed. "Once we find the rest, all we gotta do is send them off the Planet Specter!"

"May I remind you that we still don't have a functional cube to do that, Rainbow Dash?" Zane replied.

"And without a cube, we can't contact our friends there to pick them up," Kai added.

"Oh, right..." Rainbow dropped her head as her ears pointed down.

As GingerBrave examined the dots on the map, he said, "So, there are only a few more people to find in Night City, right? Maybe one of them could be Kasane and if we find her, we might use her cube to contact and locate the others!"

"But how do we know this friend of yours has a cube that still works?" Lucy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We won't know unless we find her right now! Let's go!" GingerBrave marched to the door, only to be picked up by Pilar.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold it right there, crumbs!" the techie said, holding him with his hands under his arms. "We ain't goin' nowhere just yet!"

"Huh? Why not?"

"It's been a long day, kid," Dorio chimed in. "We've been travelin' around the city a lot today and we're beat."

"Oh, I didn't think about that. Sorry." With that, GingerBrave was placed on the ground.

"So, we're not doing the job yet?" Jesse asked.

"Nope, not yet," Falco replied. "We all talked about it, and we plan on getting to it first thing in the morning when the air is cold."

"Okay, what should we do until then?"

As his smile grew, Maine stood up from his seat and answered, "We live."

When nightfall came, everyone partied at a nearby bar, and they were all having a good time. As Maine and his crew were drinking, Kai entertained the other customers with his fire powers as Lilac and Rainbow cheered him on. Zane also helped delight the partygoers while his funny switch was on, making everyone laugh and ask him to do it again. But as it went on, only Pilar and Rebecca were repeatedly amazed by the nindroid's humor and it was beginning to tire the latter. As the siblings guffawed, Zane had both his hands on his knees.

"C'mon, tin can! Do it again!" Pilar shouted as he took a swig from his drink.

"But I did it twenty times already!" Zane replied.

"One more time, man! C'mon!" Rebecca exclaimed.

With a sigh, Zane stood up straight and was about to turn his funny switch back on. But before he could, Jay came out of nowhere and grabbed his fellow ninja by the shoulders.

"Okay, you two lost your Zane privileges!" Jay said as he walked away with the exhausted nindroid, much to the chagrins of Pilar and Rebecca.

Meanwhile, Jesse, GingerBrave, and SMG4 were outside with David and Lucy. As the blue-clad man was sitting on a nearby bench, the other four were still standing on their feet. Jesse, GingerBrave, and SMG4 were in awe as David had the back of his shirt lifted, revealing a shiny spine-like cybernetic enhancement that went down his back.
