"Uh, hi..." Uzi said, her purple optics still hollowed with shock.
Lucy didn't say anything in response, her gun still aimed at the robot's head.
"You're not one of the Ringmaster's minions, are you?" Uzi asked.
"If I were, I would've killed you on sight," Lucy replied, pulling her gun away and slipping it into its holster.
Uzi sighed with relief. "Good."
The netrunner put her hands on her hips and asked, "Anyway, what are you doing here by yourself?"
"I was just leaving." Uzi grinned and pointed her thumb at the faraway light. "I found an exit over there, see?"
Lucy turned to where the robot's thumb was aiming. She deadpanned, "Do you know where we are, choom?"
"A tunnel?"
"Well, this tunnel leads us to Circus' parking lot. Over there, it's heavily guarded by the Ringmaster's goons.
Uzi's smile faded and her shoulders dropped. She groaned, "That's gonna be a problem."
"It is gonna be a problem," Lucy agreed. "As long as you aren't prepared. You will be flatlined where you stand once you go over there without a second thought."
Uzi winced at the thought of being shot with multiple bullets.
"I know, it's not preem."
"Er, preem?" Uzi raised an eyebrow, confused by the word.
"Doesn't matter. You're not from this world, are you?" Lucy asked.
"What gave you that idea?"
"You don't look like Arasaka tech. You look too cute to be that."
Uzi suddenly snapped, "Bite me! I'm not cute! I'm an angsty teen with crippling daddy issues!" She looked away and added, "Sort of..." She then asked, "Also, what's an Arasaka anyway?"
"Night City's biggest corporation," Lucy answered.
"Okay." Uzi turned back to the light at the end of the tunnel. "It was nice to meet you and all, but I don't plan on remaining a prisoner here, so I'm just gonna go."
Lucy watched as the purple robot was about to walk away, but she gasped at the last thing she said. She grabbed her arm and said, "Say that again."
"Say what again?" Uzi asked, pulling her arm out of Lucy's grasp.
"That last thing you just said!"
"I don't plan on remaining a prisoner here."
"You bein' held captive here, small fry?" Lucy asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Small fry?" Uzi glared at the netrunner, who gave her a deadpan face in response. She sighed and answered, "Fine. I'm being held captive here along with many others."
"So, you know where the other prisoners are?"
"They're underground." Uzi pointed at the floor. Then, she stuffed her hands into her hoodie pockets. "Nice talk." She was about to walk away again when...
"Take me to them," Lucy said.
"Excuse me?" Uzi turned around to look back at the netrunner.
"You know where the other prisoners are, so take me to them!" Lucy demanded.
"And if I say no?"
Lucy gave the robot a stoic expression. Uzi was clearly unwilling to cooperate with her, so she decided to do her thing. As she and the purple drone made eye contact, Lucy's eyes turned red as she began hacking.
