Into the Void

Sonic's eyes were wide as he opened the door all the way and stepped out of the janitor's closet. With his gaze on the floor, he slowly turned to his left to see more puddles of ink going down the hallway. Meanwhile, Kipo, Kinger, and Jake followed the hedgehog out of the closet to see what he was seeing.

"Whoa..." Kipo gasped as she turned to an ink puddle beside her right foot.

"Indeed," Kinger said before he put his hands on where his hips should be and glared at the floor. "That Ink Demon made a mess and never bothered to clean it up!"

"Screw that! That thing tried to kill us!" Jake retorted.

"Er, that too."

Kipo turned her attention to Sonic and asked, "Are you okay?"

Without looking at the others, he replied, "I think I understand why Allison told us to avoid the Ink Demon at all costs."

"Yeah." Kipo nodded her head once.

"What happens now?" Kinger asked.

Sonic took a deep breath and finally turned around to look at the other three. "We're gonna keep looking for more of those stranded in this dimension," he answered.

"And what will happen once we do find them all?" Jake asked, crossing his arms. "Because the last time we found someone, we lost her to whatever took her."

"Yeah, that was my fault." Sonic scratched the back of his neck. "But I'm sure we'll find her again as we look around this world. And to answer your question, Jake, I'll send them all to Planet Specter."

"Planet Specter?" The teen raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, I didn't tell you guys yet, did I?" Sonic reached into his quills to pull out his cube.

As Kipo and Jake raised their eyebrows at the cube, Kinger's eyes lit up at the sight of it.

"Oh, how beautiful!" the chess piece exclaimed before he pointed and asked, "What is that?"

"It's a device that allows me to travel from one dimension to another," Sonic answered as he put his cube away. "I work with the Multiverse Protection Service as one of their Pillars."

The other three were silent before Kinger tilted his head and said, "Pardon?"

"You know, the MPS? We were formed after the Multiverse Collision. We stopped the Glitch King from conquering the multiverse."

Jake wore a blank face as Kinger blinked without saying a word.

"Come on!" Sonic groaned. "There's like, what, fourteen of us? Does the name Jesse ring any bells? Rainbow Dash? Sash Lilac? Kai? Ruby Rose? Steven Universe? Mario? Morgana? Frisk Dreemurr? Rabbid Peach?"

Finally, the silence between the trio broke when Kinger said, "Nope! Never heard of it!"

"Wait," Kipo said, holding up her hand. "I think I heard of you guys somewhere, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. You said there are fourteen of you Pillars, right? You included?"

"Yeah, of course," Sonic replied.

"And who are the other three?" she asked.

"Uh, Keith, Cuphead, and Dipper Pines. Why?"

"Hmm..." Kipo looked down at the floor with her hands on her hips and her right foot tapping the floor. Then, she gasped and exclaimed, "Oh, now I remember! Two of your fellow Pillars came to my dimension some time ago!"

"Really?" Sonic raised his eyebrows. "Which ones?" he asked.

"The ones you mentioned earlier, Lilac and Steven! They came to my world to retrieve a few kids who stumbled upon my world! Giant scorpions were stalking them, but those two rescued them just in time to bring them home!"
