To The End Of An Apocalypse

Izuku begins to slow down minutes later when the big buildings start to grow few in number.  He pulls up to a gas station. 

He stops at the front of the gas station. The front windows are shattered, and they can see that some of the metal isles are pushed to the ground. 

Izuku turns behind him to see the other students, his expression neutral. The music is still booming through the car speakers when he starts to talk. 

"It'll be better if some of you come with me. We can carry more stuff back with us." 

Some students glance at each other and he stares at them. A moment passes in silence. There is another boom in the distance and the sound of chittering. 

"Does anyone wanna go or...?" 

Katsuki looks into the gas station from the window and then back. Izuku is still looking behind at everyone else. 

"I'll go." 

Izuku looks at him, his expression neutral for a second before his brows furrow slightly. His eyes falter as he has a worried expression on his face.  

Katsuki glares back at him. 

"What?" 

Izuku's expression goes back to neutral as he looks at Katsuki. 

"Nothing." 

He looks back at everyone else. 

"Anyone else wanna go?" 

Kirishima raises his hand, grinning. Even with the cheerful look on his face, his eyes are hardened. 

"I'll help out!" 

Momo, sitting near the back of the van, raises her hand even though she looks nervous. 

"I would like to go as well." 

Izuku hums and looks at everyone in the van.

"Alright. You." 

His eyes stop at a short kid with purple hair who keeps fidgeting. At being called, the boy jolts and his face contorts. 

"Me?!" 

The boy looks like he's about to shit himself, backing up slightly in his seat. Izuku nods and without another word, he gets out of the van. 

He goes behind the van and opens the back. Katsuki gets out of the front seat and shuts the door quietly. Momo and Kirishima climb out of the back, landing on the ground. 

The short boy with the purple hair, Minoru Mineta, stays in the van. He is shaking badly, avoiding eye contact with everyone. 

Izuku turns back and looks at him blankly. There is more chittering and there is a small crash inside of the gas station. Izuku still doesn't look away from Mineta. 

"Don't waste everyone's time. Come on." 

Mineta lets out a chocked-out cry. Kaminari gives him a small pat on the back, trying to encourage him. 

He jumps out of the van and Izuku goes closer to the van, holding the doors in his hands, ready to shut them. 

"The rest of you need to stay quiet. The blue haired kid with the glasses is in charge while we're gone." 

Tenya makes a chopping motion with his arm, his glasses glinting. The whole time, he has been sitting up right with perfect posture. 

"Yes sir! I will do my best to make sure everyone is acting accordingly!"
