AN: I am so sorry it took so long, I just couldn't come up with how to plan the chapter out but I managed to make it a bit longer to try and make up for it taking a while. I know your probably here for Anteline so here is the chapter that kind of just marks the beggining of their friendship. There is a few moments, so enjoy! Also I was wondering if anyone would like to have chapters where it's just about Ant or Madeline instead of the part 1 and 2, or just stick with the switching povs. Still looking for some ideas on what they do in New York City if you have any! Anyways, on with the story!

Ant Pov

I wake up to Fontaine shaking me awake. I don't recall when I fell asleep, though at one point I must have. I look around to see that we are surfaced at some kind of docking port. The Red Claw is right behind us and I think were in a line or something. Wait is that a cruise ship passing by!? We're going to get crushed!

"Fontaine what are we doing here!? We're about to get crushed by one of these huge ships! We need to move right—"

"Relax! We're at a docking port. Those cruise and cargo ships are in an entirely different lane. This lane is only for small fishing boats and other small water vehicles, so if you woud just relax for one minute..." I can feel her staring at me moving around in my seat trying to get a good view at what's going on. "...we're not going to get crushed. I've rented a small docking port big enough to fit both the Rover and the Red Claw well were in New York City," she sighs at the end of her rant and shakes her head with a small chuckle.

"Well how do you know if it's big enough to fit—wait a second, did you just say New York City?" I stare at her in suprise and pure excitement as I hear the name of the popular city.

"Ya, we talked about it well you were sitting on the coach right by us. Don't you remember? It was literally just this morning," she looks at me with an eyebrow raised as I give her a 'what?' look. Just because I was sitting there the whole time doesn't mean I was paying attention the whole time.

I stare out my window trying to catch a glimpse of the city to get an idea of what it looks like other than in the pictures, though with how busy the port alone is I can't see a thing. I look behind us at what seems to be a grumpy Madeline after being awoken from her slumber. Finn meanwhile is holding in a fit of laughter at Madeline's face, to which he recieves a smack upside the head which based on Finn's face was likely painful. Note to self: don't get her mad or you'll likely earn yourself a smack upside the head which has a high probability of being painful.

I turn to face forward again just as we enter a very small docking port off to the side from some bigger ones that based off of the large ramps to get off, must be for cruise ships. A jolt goes through the rover as the entrance closes off.

A man knocks on the glass lightly from the strip of metal on the side seperating from other docking ports until Fontaine lifts the top of the glass so that he can talk to her. "Excuse me miss, but are you Fontaine Nekton?"

"Yes, is there a problem? I have the email that shows I'm the one who rented the port if that's what you need," Fontaine seems to be a bit suprised by the man coming up, possibly expecting the docking process to be a bit different.

"No, there's no problem, it's simply standard procedure to check the IDs of the people who rent a docking port, also just to make sure their not dangerous or anything. So if you could please just show me your ID so that I can move on to the next port," the man looks absolutely exhausted, and considering how big all the seperate ports are toghether it makes sense that he's exhausted.

"Sure, just let me grab it out quickly." Fontaine grabs her purse from the back of the Rover and starts to rifle through it for her ID until a minute later she finally finds it. " AHA! I found it!" and as Finn, Madeline, and me start snickering that seems to be the moment that she realizes there are other people here too. "Here you go sir," she then proceeds to look down at her lap with her eyes wide and cheeks burning a rosy pink in embarrasment.
