His Sun...

Part 7│Heartless

"Kasami," Sasuke continued looking at her, "I know something happened, something that involved Kabuto and those marks you had on your neck."

Kasami started crying and that was all Sasuke needed to feel rage bubbling inside of him, "I will fucking kill him."

"No," Kasami shouted at him, she couldn't see the confusion in Sasuke's face because the tears were heavy in her eyes. "If he survived, I will be the one to do it."

Then Sasuke understood, that this was her fight but that didn't mean that he was going to make Kabuto regret putting his hands on her. "He survived," Sasuke said and Kasami couldn't stop the tears of frustration. In a swift movement, Sasuke was sitting by her, holding her tight. 

"I'm sorry I wasn't there," he said and she cried more, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, I'm sorry I didn't see it. Instead, I was an asshole, I behaved just like him."

"no," she hiccuped, "I'm sorry I said that."

"But you were right I," Sasuke held her tight, "I tried to... I-, I disrespected you."

Kasami turned to look at him and held his face in her hands, "you are nothing like those men." She let go and turned to look at the fire, "I know I say mean things but I was scared. you scared me, I never thought you would look at me that way."

"I'm sorry," he said pulling her closer, "I was blinded by rage and..."

"...and?" she turned to look at him, and what she found was precious. Sasuke Uchiha was blushing.

"I don't know I was just upset," he said looking elsewhere. Then he turned to look at her when he heard her giggle in between her tears, "We should eat, you need to rest too."

They did just that, after eating, Sasuke laid down to rest. Kasami waited for Sasuke to be asleep so she could clean her wound and body. She carefully took off the shirt she was wearing and tied her hair in a bun. She passed the wet rag along her arms, neck, and chest carefully. When she was done she turned to grab the shirt and found Sasuke staring at her attentively.

The whole time the Uchiha was looking at the honey-eyed girl carefully cleaning her body. She could feel the rush of blood spreading throughout her face, she was flustered and he seemed to be enjoying that reaction. She wanted to dig a hole and hide there forever, she could have sworn that he was sleeping. But now, he was sitting there with a serene look on his face. 

"I thought you were sleeping," she said grabbing the shirt and putting it on.

"You know, I think the Uchiha crest looks good on you," he didn't know why he had said that but it was too late to take it back, plus he had meant it.

Kasami looked at him and blushed even more, "Don't say those things."

Sasuke raised his hand towards her and invited her to lay next to him. She questioned his intentions for a second but decided to take his hand and lay next to him. He turned to look at her and his arm moved her close to him, pressing her against his body. Kasami's whole body went from cold to burning hot as she could feel the heat radiating from the younger Uchiha. Then she felt it, his cold touch on her side, slowly sliding under the oversized shirt Itachi gave her. 

She turned to look at him but he was already staring at her. His other hand held her cheek and brought her closer to him, stealing another kiss from her. This time it started slow and soft, but quickly started to get more passionate as he deepened it. To Kasami this was all new, she felt butterflies in her stomach at first but as the kiss started to get more heated she started to feel uncomfortable. 

"Sasuke," she breathed, "stop, please."

The uchiha stopped in his tracks immediately regretting his action. How stupid could he be? why was he pushing her so much after what had happened to her? "I'm sorry Kasami, please forgive me."
