A few days had passed since the party. Luke had given his number to Sierra, but she had not messaged him yet. Calum and Luke had stumbled home after the party and had made a few jokes on the way home. It felt nice to actually do something different with his roommate other than say hello and goodbye.

Luke walked into his English lecture on Friday and was instantly greeted by Mr Rudd and his friendly face. Luke subtly nodded and smiled at his lecturer and then continued to walk to the middle of the lecture hall where he saw Ashton already sat with his notebook out in front of him and his phone in his hand. Since the party, Ashton and Luke's friendship had become a little more friendly. Ashton joked around with Luke more and even sent him a meme a day. It made Luke so happy to actually have a friend. And not just one. Michael had also become a friend. The two exchanged numbers after the party and although Michael and Luke had not sent any messages to each other, the pair sat next to each other in every English lecture and even went to grab food after class one time.

Michael suddenly appeared next to Luke and plopped down in the seat besides the blonde-haired boy. He wore black jeans, a black shirt, and a black jacket. Black seemed to be Michael's favourite colour. Even his hair was black. The only thing that wasn't black, was his crystalised green eyes which made Luke smile every time he saw then. Michael was becoming a better friend every day.

"Hey," Luke smiled, "you're actually on time."

Michael laughed dryly. "Oh come on, it was one time."

"One time too many." Ashton chirped up.

Luke liked this trio friendship. It was nice. He hoped it would continue for the rest of the year but at the same time, he didn't want to force a friendship that either of these boys might not want. Mr Rudd started speaking at the bottom of the lecture hall and, as usual, the room fell silent. Luke felt his phone buzz in his pocket, but he ignored it and continued to listen intently. It was probably just his family group chat anyway. Mr Rudd was speaking about the book they were all analysing, pride and prejudice. Luke never really liked the story, but he liked the way Mr Rudd spoke about it. Suddenly, his phone buzzed again. Luke furrowed his eyebrows and fished his phone out of his pocket, trying to keep it hidden as best as he could as he swiped to unlock his iPhone.

Michael: I am so bored.

Michael: You look way too interested in this lame ass book.

Luke quickly looked over to his side and saw that Michael had his elbow on his knees which was propped up to make a make shift table for his chin. He was staring straight at Luke with a bored expression on his face. Luke couldn't help but grin and looked down at his phone again.

Luke: It's not the book I'm interested in.

He hit send before he could really think about what he typed. Michael saw the message and raised a single eyebrow. Luke flushed a deep shade of red and his eyes widened a little bit as he saw Michael glance from Mr Rudd to Luke a few times. His eyes twinkled in amusement, and he used his hand to cover the cheeky smile that was making its way to his lips. Luke quickly grabbed his phone again and furiously smashed at the keyboard.

Luke: That is NOT what I meant. I just mean I want to listen to Mr Rudd. I feel bad if people ignore his lectures.

Michael chuckled and nodded his head, not looking like he really believed Luke. The blonde-haired boy breathed a sigh of uncomfortableness. Did Michael think that Luke had a crush on his teacher? Luke hoped not. He really hoped not. He didn't want Michael to think he was weird already. Luke tried to ignore the thoughts as best as he could but the more the lecture went on, the more he was too engrossed in what Mr Rudd had to say. He knew he probably looked lame in front of Michael. Luke's phone suddenly buzzed again. Luke sighed and glanced to his side, noticing that Michael was indeed looking at him. The black-haired boy subtly nodded to Luke's phone.
