"What do we do?" GingerBrave whispered.
"We help Becca," Jesse replied before he walked into the alleyway with a tight grip on his sword. As the other two followed him, he pointed his blade at the robot and yelled, "Hey! You leave her alone!"
In response, Rebecca lowered her gun and the robot stopped to turn around to find the trio standing at the alleyway's entrance. Then all of a sudden, the robot's claws turned into regular four-fingered hands and the yellow X turned into a pair of ovals. Next thing everyone knew, it did the unthinkable: it spoke in the most unexpected nicest male voice anyone could least expect.
"Oh, great! My plan worked!"
With that, everyone was taken aback. Rebecca even raised an eyebrow and uttered, "Huh?"
"Jesse, why is the robot talking?" GingerBrave asked with confusion in his voice.
"I don't know," Jesse whispered in response before asking the robot, "What do you mean by plan?"
"Oh, yeah..." The robot scratched the back of his neck before gesturing at Rebecca. "Sorry for kidnapping your friend. I did it to get someone's attention, and it worked! I got you guys to follow me. That's all that matters!" He put his hands on his hips and smiled with pride.
"That's what this is about?!" Rebecca exclaimed as she lowered her gun.
Meanwhile, Lucy approached the trio saying, "David's resting in the car. Did you guys deal with the thing yet?" Then, she turned to find the robot beaming. "Is that it?" she asked, pointing at him.
"Yeah," Jay whispered. "But apparently, this robot snatched Rebecca for our attention."
"That's what this is about?"
"Hey! That's what I said!" Rebecca yelled before pointing at the winged robot. "Now, can we please blow this thing up and move on with our lives?!"
"Wait, what?" The robot frowned as its yellow eyes turned into empty ovals. He watched as everyone pointed their weapons at him. At the sight of it, he put both his hands up and shouted, "Wait! I have another good reason why I kidnapped your friend!"
"Oh, yeah? What is it, then?" Jay asked with a glare and a raised eyebrow.
"I-I-I heard you guys were saving people around this city and I need your help!"
With that, everyone's expressions became soft as they all lowered their weapons.
"Our help? With what?" Jesse asked.
"Well, you see..." The robot trailed off for a brief moment. "My friend was kidnapped by a group of bad people and I want to save her. She's really important to me."
"Your friend?" Jesse received a nod from the robot. "Is she a robot like you?"
"Yes, but she's shorter than me and very angsty."
"Do you have a picture of her?" GingerBrave asked.
"I do! Here, uh..."
The robot began searching the pockets of his coat until finally, he found it. Pulling out a folded piece of paper from his right pocket, he approached the cookie and brought it to him. GingerBrave took the paper and unfolded it as the others, Rebecca included, looked over him to see what was on it. It was a crayon drawing of what looked like another white robot, but this one had short, purple hair fixed with a black beanie. The drawing had purple eyes, and an angry-looking face, and it wore what looked like a black jacket with folded sleeves, purple and magenta-striped socks, and black boots. Above it was a speech bubble with a short sentence that read, Bite me!
"Are you sure that's your friend? This looks more like something a five-year-old would draw," Jay remarked before being jabbed in the side by Lucy.
"You said she was kidnapped, right?" Jesse asked, looking back at the robot.
"Yes."
"Do you remember what the guys who took your friend look like?"
"I think so..." The robot raised a digital eyebrow and put a finger on his chin. "There were four, maybe five of them. They were all dressed in black and were wearing visors on their faces, except their leader. The leader had his hair slicked back and he wore a black blazer and no shirt."
Jesse and GingerBrave's eyes grew wide at that description as they turned to look at each other. It wasn't long until Lucy, Jay, and Rebecca turned to notice their faces.
"You two good?" Rebecca asked.
"Jesse," GingerBrave looked up at the brunette. "Aren't those the guys who tried to attack us when we met David?"
"Yeah," Jesse said with a nod before turning to the others. "We have to get back to Aldo's and tell the others what's going on."
"I'll contact Maine," Lucy said as she walked out of the alleyway.
"As for you," The brunette turned to point at the robot. "We'll help you find your friend, but you're coming with us. We don't know what you're capable of, but I think you'd be a great help."
With a grin, the robot replied, "Sure! I love doing anything!"

SMG4 trembled and whimpered in his seat as he slowly turned to Maine, who was driving the van in silence. He opened his mouth to speak, but he was unable to say what was on his mind, so he turned away and sighed. As Maine drove, his eyes glowed behind his sunglasses as he heard Lucy's voice.
"Maine."
"Lucy, I heard Becca got snatched by somethin' and you and a few others are rescuin' her," Maine replied.
"Yeah, we dealt with that already. The thing that took her wanted our attention and help," Lucy replied.
"What kind of help?" he asked.
"The thing has a friend who was kidnapped by some guys in visors. He came to us for our help to save her."
"I see. Where are you guys now?"
"On our way back to Aldo's," Lucy answered.
"Tell the others to meet us there tonight." With that, Maine hung up the call.
"Hey, what's going on?" SMG4 asked.
"We got Becca back, but something else came up. We're goin' back to Aldo's to discuss it." Maine turned the steering wheel to the right, causing the car to make a U-turn on the road. With that, he and SMG4 made their way to the warehouse.
