Hypothetically,
If she were given a chance,
To relive her record,
She wouldn't take it...
If she were allowed to rewrite,
Rewrite her own story,
She wouldn't change a thing,
Tempting as it may be...
She knows deep down,
That if even the tiniest factor were changed,
She wouldn't turn out the way she did.
She wouldn't be who she is today.
Was she shaping her story,
Or was her story shaping her?
Well, both;
Which is why nothing must be changed.
She knows, that if she rewrites,
She would lose a lot.
She wouldn't meet the same person,
She wouldn't be the same person.
She does tend to regret sometimes,
And she tends to reminisce.
She dwells in her own mind,
In discord with herself.
Her emotions at war,
With her own sense of practicality.
Her sanity on the edge of a never-ending ditch,
Yet stable as can be.
She intends to live on, of course,
Despite painful pasts,
Along with hopes of happiness,
And a few custom-made memories thrown in.
So that's why,
If she were given a chance,
To rewrite her own chronicle,
She wouldn't take it.
