𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄... you wanted some time away from the chaos that is your daily life. Spending time with the other Scouts is fine and all, but you couldn't bring yourself to grow attached to them. You can't risk losing another friend since anything can happen once you venture outside the walls, any of you can become Titan fodder in the blink of an eye. Death is untimely and cruel.
So, a little after dinner, you left camp and used your ODM gear to get on top of a tree branch that was thick and sturdy enough to support your weight. You just needed some space since all the socializing seemed to suck all the energy out of you. Unbeknownst to you, Levi noticed you leaving. He knew that it wasn't your round for watch, so he followed you and it didn't take long for him to join you on the aforementioned branch.
With a defeated sigh, you sat down, asking, "What? Are you going to tell Erwin about this and make me go back to camp?" He doesn't respond, much to your dismay. You knew the Captain was a man of few words, but it didn't help the ball of anxiety forming in your stomach. Soon though, to your surprise, Levi copies your actions and sits down as well, so both of your legs are dangling off the branch.
So, you repeat your question from before to which Levi responds with, "It's nice here, L/n. Why don't we just... stay here for a while?" Seems like the Captain had some burdens of his own. Who would've thought?
