You slept by him, made sure to check up on him frequently, and placed meals beside him if and when he decided to wake up. Sure, it was a waste, but why make him waste for a nice warm meal? However, when you temporarily excused yourself one night to go fetch more firewood since you were running low, Levi woke up. It was then Levi filled Hange in on what happened during his fight with Zeke, but she told him how hopelessly devoted you were to the Captain while he was out.
