Chapter Forty Five~ It's Not What You Link

"And that's the start to a beautiful friendship," Phoebe said, grabbing a donut.

"Yeah, you're right," I said, taking a donut as well. We were all inside after the game of basketball, sitting down watching TV.

"Whaddup, Stretch," Max said as he walked in.

"Nothing much. Cheat Breath, " Link answered.

"This is nice that you and Max are cool with each other," Phoebe said

"He's not so bad," Link said

"Except at basketball," I said just as Mrs.Thunderman came in with a box of pizza.

"Seriously, babe," Max said. " Anyway, you still on for video games,"

"If you're still on for losing," Link answered, they both got up and left.

"I can't believe they actually became friends," Mrs.Thunderman said as she came into the kitchen.

"I know, but Link is so nice he can be friends with anyone," Phoebe said.

"Well, I hope some good can rub off on Max and not the other around," Mrs.Thunderman said.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I'm just joking, but who knows, Max evil ways might rub off on Link," Mrs.Thunderman added as he left.

"I trust Link," Phoebe said.

"Max, not so much," I said

*Time Skip*
Max's P.O.V
"I took a big chance making you my evil lieutenant ,Link," I said, walking over to him. " You're not going to let me down, are you?"

"I'd never betray the dark side," He answered

"Woah. Link in that cloak. You look just like your father. He's toothy, too. " Dr.Colosso said.

"Max sooner or later, I've gotta tell Phoebe what we've been up too" Link said

"Dude, no. If you tell Phoebe you joined my evil brotherhood, she's only gonna make trouble for us. Now come on-lets, go take down our enemies, " I said

Phoebe's P.O.V
"You're not going anywhere," I said as I went  down the slide head first with Becca following after.

"First time down a slide?" Dr.Colosso asked

"No," I answered. " Yes,"

"You okay, Pheebs?" Becca asked.

"Yeah, I'm good now. Let's hide before Max comes back," I said.

Becca's P.O.V
Max soon came back in since he forgot something. "Who froze you?" I heard Max ask

"I did," Phoebe answered as she tackled him down. Max then froze Phoebe and left.

"Where are you going?" I asked

"I'll be back, babe," He answered as he kissed me softly on the cheeks. I was with Phoebe as you know she's still frozen. The whole house soon felt like it was getting electrocuted, causing me to fall down.

"What just happened?" Phoebe asked.

"I'm guessing your mom released the kraken," Dr.Colosso replied

"Where's Becca?" She asked

"I'm down here," I answered

"Yikes," she said as he helped me up.

"Is it that bad?" I asked

"No, you look fine," she said, but I knew she's lying.

"Let's just go," I said, walking away. We arrived at the forest and hid behind a bush. My hair was still a mess, but I didn't care. People started to say some kind of speech, and all I heard was handsome. Phoebe then came out here hiding place.

"Not on my watch, you won't," she said. They tried to attack her, but she handled them.

"Let me guess is Becca here with you as well," Max asked.

"Yes. Becca come out, " I heard Phoebe say, I walked out and stood by Phoebe

"What happened to you, sweetheart?" Max asked as he came to me holding my hands.

"Your mom released the kraken." I replied.

"Are you okay?" He asked

"Yeah, I'm fine," I answered as he placed a kiss on my cheek. Max then explained that it was a game.

"Oh, I get it. You're a giant nerd," Phoebe said.

"No, they're the giant Nerd. I'm the guy with the ring. " He said," The ring of suffering."

"You are evil and handsome." They said.

"Okay, nobody calls him that except me," I said

"Babe, it's just a game," Max said

"I don't care," I said and walked away with Phoebe and Link.

At Home
Max finally arrived home from his game. " So who won?" I asked

"I don't wanna talk about it ," He answered. "All I wanna do is be with my girlfriend."

"Aww, come here," I said, opening my arms for a hug.

"I love you always, and" Max started

"Forever," I finished as I kissed him softly on the lips before pulling away and resting my head on his chest. I never wanted to leave his embrace, I felt safe with Max. "Okay, let's head to bed,"

"Ok," He said as he lifted me up bridal style, and with that, we went to bed.
