"The person who adopted you wants himself to be addressed as, 'Master.' He will visit this mansion once in a while, but due to the matters that he needs to work on in the other countries, the visit would rather be rare."
Chuuya remembers how those were the first words that Hirotsu told him on the first day when he arrived in this lavish mansion. Hirotsu is the head butler in the mansion, and he's the person in charge of everything. It's been almost four years since he came here. Slowly, he regained his ability to speak again, to smile, laugh, and even bicker with someone, with the help of his friend, Dazai.
It was brought to his knowledge that Dazai is the son of one of the butlers of this mansion. When his parents died in an accident, the Master let him stay in the mansion as a sign of gratitude for the help his parents provided. Dazai was helped by the same "Master" that adopted him and saved him when he had nowhere to go. During his stay in the mansion, Dazai has given him company. The person is kind, caring, and also a menace sometimes. As kids, they tend to perform random pranks on Hirotsu (who ended up having his head more stressed than usual, causing his age to triple in a short span of time) and other butlers when they feel like it. It is all Dazai's suggestion to distract him from his thoughts.
It's almost Christmas, and this is their last day in school before their Christmas break.
They are now in 6th grade, and Chuuya is glad that he was able to find good people all throughout his elementary days. He has friends, but Dazai's the only one he can trust entirely. That's an understatement as they tend to spend all their time together in school and in the mansion. Dazai had become his other one, and from the time they spent together, their inseparable bond became stronger.
"I'll get ourselves something to drink. What do you want?"
Chuuya groans and stares at the tray of food filled with meat and vegetables in front of him before looking around at the other kids inside the cafeteria.
"I want some cola."
Dazai smiles, "You know you shouldn't drink lots of coke, Chuuya. Aside from the fact that you won't get taller, it's also unhealthy."
"Oh, shut up!" He hisses rather non-heartedly, "I didn't drink coke this week. I'll manage."
The other kid sighs, "I wonder what I'll do with you. You're so stubborn."
"And you are, too." He retorts, and Dazai massages his forehead as if he's having a headache by just talking to him.
"Very well. But you have to promise me that you won't drink another can of cola until next week."
"I promise!"
"Good boy." Dazai murmured softly before he stood up and went towards the counter to get their drinks.
The cafeteria is huge and spacious. Master, the unknown person who adopted him that he hadn't seen up until now, made sure to let him and Dazai study only at the country's most prestigious school. All their things are provided accordingly. Again, he observes the place, and most students are chit chatting. Though, there's less than usual because it's not lunch break yet. Dazai always made sure that they would both eat in the cafeteria earlier than the time for lunch to prevent having to deal with lots of crowds.
