Chuuya's life has been filled with thrill.

The whistle blows and the cheers from the crown increases as the third lap of the tournament starts. Sweat runs past his skin as the sun touches his body. He keeps on running, barely panting, as he eloquently takes his strides past the other players running with him. His eyes are fixated on the goal at the end of the race.

"If you're running in that tournament, I'll cancel all my personal commitments in order to be there for you."

It's been years since he first met Dazai and since then, he was able to experience a lot of things. Different thrilling things, to be precise. When they were young, they tend to do a lot of dumb pranks against each other and on the people around them. Dazai clicks well with him. They've been inseparable best friends ever since he got adopted by the mysterious master that he still wasn't able to meet up until now.

He's a twenty one year old graduating college student now and yet, he wasn't able to talk to the person who helped him in his lowest.

Hmmm, the person who helped him in his lowest, huh?

While running, his head tilts a little and there, his sight instantly focuses on the man sitting on the front benches at the side while holding a book. He's wearing their university's uniform. A plain black long sleeves and dark pants with bandages underneath. His brown locks are messy and yet sophisticatedly framed around his face. It gently sways a little from the wind.

Dazai.

Dazai is watching him right now.

He truly kept his promise.

The person who's been there in all the seasons of his life is there with him, watching him, and supporting him afar.

Chuuya's lips curved into a smirk as he ran with all his must. He caught the way Dazai smiles back at him. Right at that moment, he feels a slight squeeze in his heart upon seeing Dazai's calm gaze at him. It took a lot of effort to not trip while running. Dazai's staring and smiling at him.

It made him want to win this damn race more.

The cheers of the crowd are heard accordingly and it's not enough to stop the rapid beats of his heart drumming inside his chest. He keeps on running. Everything around him feels blurry. All his opponents seem blurry as well. He can barely hear the noise around. All he can think of is Dazai's gaze on him. That's what matters to him right now.

Finally, with a short exhale, he touches the goal and applauses are heard from the crowd once again. Panting hard, he throws his hands in the air as the breeze of satisfaction touches his senses. There's an annual activity in their university and as someone who is athletic enough, he's been encouraged to join almost all of them.

He manages to join in most and accomplish things in a flying color.
