THOMAS JEFFERSON NEVER HAD A MIDDLE NAME. His father was nothing short of a cold hearted man, silly things like middle names didn't matter to him. His mother wasn't keen on sentimental things either, if it was something she cared about, she would've argued it into oblivion.

"You don't have a middle name?" Eloise smiled, she couldn't fathom it. Her middle name meant so much to her.

"No, I don't." He smiled back, her hand around his arm as he led her down the stairs. There was a certain look in his eyes, that he was completely entranced by her, and she had no idea, completely oblivious.

"That's unfortunate." She sighed, looking up at him and almost stumbling over a step on the stairs. Thomas laughs a little while helping her regain her footing.

"First day with new legs?" He laughs a little, that left hand moving from her arm to her waist to steady her. Time seems to stop around the two, and the foot of the stairs, until, her father clears his throat.

He hopes this will break their electric connection, but their eyes remained locked, both of them smiling like idiots.

"Virginia." Her father snaps, and both heads then immediately.

"Father." Eloise turns, shoving Thomas' hand off of her waist quickly.

"When was the last time Missy was fed?"

"Missy?" Thomas enquires.

"The cat." Eloise answers smiling as she makes a sort of clicking sound, and a light colored cat emerges from under the luxurious couch.

"Oh." Thomas simply responds, he never grew up with animals, in his all too rigid household.

"Isn't she beautiful?" Eloise smiles, lifting the cat into her arms and petting it, offering Thomas the same. He reaches for the pet, tentatively. The cat meows, crawling into his arms, to which he smiles.

"She likes you." Eloise comments. Thomas nods, smiling more and more, even laughing a little when Missy paws at his hand.

"Come here, pet." Eloise smiles, taking the cat from his arms. "You two have buisness to discuss?"

"You're absolutely correct, Princess." Her father nods, ushering Thomas into the living room while Eloise lets Missy down so she can feed her.

Eloise smiled as she received the tray of the tea set from Isabelle, who gives her a knowing smile as the aforementioned girl rounds the corner wearing a smile and carrying the silver tray.

"Lots of important decisions being made, I hope?" Eloise smiled, setting down the tray on the ornate coffee table, laying out both the cups in front of the two men, beginning to pour the tea.

"If Hamilton had never opened his mouth, maybe." Jefferson rolls his eyes.

"Now Thomas, that's not very kind. Have some grace." The girl smiled, pouring the tea.

"My daughter is right, the only way to deal with this situation is a respectful debate." Washington nods.

"Father, can I ask the composition of the subject?" Eloise says, ever politely, bracing herself for the answer.

"No-" Her father begins.

"Please!" The girls cuts him off, practically begging.

"Eloise, I've told you a million times, women have no place in politics." Washington holds up a hand. Thomas watches with an confused face.

"So then let me make a difference!" She begs.

"There's is no room for change." He denies.

"Let's hear her opinion, maybe she knows something we don't." Jefferson offers. Washington looks at him with surprise, and so does Eloise.
