A mysterious contract

Part 16 - Two missions

Harold : <Hang on... No, except for Sonate's Raptures, I don't see anything else.>

Lowell : <Good. Returning to base.> We are done here, let's return to the runway.

All : Yes, Commander.

We returned to the runway and I saw a lot of activity, some team who is repairing the runway and the building next to it, a security team and Captain Xiao giving orders to everyone.

Lowell : Area clear of enemy presence, Captain Xiao.

Xiao : Good job, Lowell. We will take it from here, you can rest now and what did you think of her?

Lowell : Sonate is really impressive, she can control 500 Raptures and she is very powerful. I wonder if we can make more of her?

Xiao : Perhaps, if we got the materials however I think they will try something else, after all they like diversity at creating new things. Anyways, You and you squad cant rest now, tell Sonate to stand guard with us until this base is fully operational. 

Lowell : Yes, Captain Xiao.

I returned to my team.

Lowell : Sonate, Captain Xiao wants you to stay here and protect them.

Sonate : Understood.

Sonate and her Raptures patrol on the surrondings of the runway.

Lowell : Counters, can you stay with William for a while? I want to susprise him with a party..

Anis : A party?! 

Lowell : Yes, with meats, sodas, fireworks, basically everything needed for a party.

Neon : Fireworks?!

Lowell : Oh, and invite Wardress as well, I want everyone to be here.

Rapi : Yes, Commander.

Lowell : Eclipse, you will help me build and transport everything.

Eclipse : Yes, Commander.

We parted ways as Counters do what they need to do in the Ark as we returned to buy everything needed. Eventually, I come around Diana and Harold.

Diana : Oh Lowell, nice to see you here. What are you doing?

Lowell : I'm currently buying some foods and drinks for a party.

Harold : I want to be in.

Diana : Me too, I want to take break from my work.

Lowell : Sure you can come too and can you advise me what to take? I want to make this will be a memorable party.

Harold, Diana : Count me in.

After a shopping session, we were full of basically any kind of food, drinks and somehow a grill to cook it.

Lowell : If that's not a susprise for him, I don't know what will.

Harold : At least, we know we're gonna have fun for the whole night.

Diana : Let's go to the Outpost, I'm sure they are waiting for us.

*In the Outpost*

William is seen in the Commander's quarters resting from his injuries. The Counters and Wardress are keeping company to not make him feel lonely until they heard some music outside the Command Center. They decide to see what's going on and when they are outside, their jaw dropped in stupefaction. They see decorations everywhere in the Outpost, a music that makes them want to dance and their noses picked the scent of food being cooked. They follow the smell to arrive at a pool with Eclipse, Harold, Diana and Lowell cooking a lot of food.
