Hotline! Wally Darling X Reader

The next day had arrived and mostly everyone was on edge after Howdy went missing. And to settle this, poppy decided to host a get-together at her house.

Everyone was there. Everyone was seated in an circle, and in the middle of the circle was a table. The table had some cookies and coffee on it, to help calm everyone down.

You were seated next to Eddie and Barnaby, while Wally was across from you.
He didn't seem so happy that you were sitting next to a man that wasn't him.

While Eddie was on your right side, Barnaby was on your left. Next to Barnaby was Sally.

You wanted to ask Wally many questions. Wally didn't seem so on edge like everyone else, but Barnaby on the other hand. He looked more on edge than anyone.

You couldn't help but question this all. But just then Poppy took her seat and looked around.

"So.. I know everyone is in edge about Howdy going missing.." she said which most people in the room tensed at the mention of Howdy.

"And so I wanted to gather everyone here to talk about it" Poppy said with a small comforting smile on her face to try and calm everyone down.

It worked a little but not much.

"How could this have happened..? W-Why howdy?" Julie asked, on the verge of tears.

"He was such a fun loving guy.." Barnaby spoke softly about Howdy. There was a look on his face. Was it.... Guilt?

Strange. Why would guilt be written all over his face?

"It's such a shame this happened..." Wally said with with a sad look on his face. But you didn't believe it. It looked fake.

"We need to get to the bottom of this. So we should be asking questions." Frank said, speaking his mind. He was determined to get to the bottom of this.

"First off, where was everyone on the night of Howdys disappearance?" Frank asked and everyone spoke at once.

"I was at home baking!"

"I was taking a bath!"

"I was closing up the post office!"

"I was telling jokes to Wally while he painted!"

"I was painting"

They all started to speak over each other. And soon then started accusing each other.

"It had to have been Eddie! He was the last one to see Howdy before he disappeared!" Barnaby said with a stern looked on his face some of the others either agreed or disagreed.

"But without his story, we wouldn't have found out he went missing at night!" The person who said this was Julie. She was sticking up for Eddie. Eddie then gave Julie a small smile as a thanks for sticking up for him.

"I think I have to go with Barnaby on this one" Wally said and everyone went quiet.

"B-But.. Eddie couldn't have done this.." Julie said taking Eddie's side once again.

"I agree, Eddie is to sweet to have done this. Why would he even do this?" Frank said, Taking Eddie's side.

Wally's smile was a devious one. It was like he had everything under control, like he knew what he was doing.

"Eddie is quite strong.. while howdy does have four arms, Eddie is much stronger.." Wally said giving something for the others to think on.

"That's right! Eddie is so strong that he was able to pick up Barnaby!" Sally said which Eddie started to get nervous.

"B-But... That still doesn't give us a reason on why he would do this!" Frank said, still trying to help Eddie.

Eddie's smile got wider at that.

"The two shops in this town is Howdys shop, and the post office. Eddie could have felt jealous of Howdys success, or he wanted Howdys shop for himself." Wally said with a evil look in his eyes when he saw Eddie's nervous and worried face.

"Are you saying that Eddie is the one behind Howdys disappearance? That he did this because he was jealous and wanted Howdys shop to himself..?" Poppy said. Unable to believe this. But it was clear that Sally, Wally, Barnaby, and now Poppy was siding against Eddie.

"Impossible! Eddie wouldn't do this!" Julie said and Frank took her side.

"Well how about we hear from Eddie himself. What does he have to say to this?" Sally said and everyone had their eyes on Eddie now.

"I-i... It wasn't.." Eddie was a stuttering mess. It's like he couldn't get a word out.

"Then that settles it." Wally said which Eddie looked up with a worried face.

"No.. it wasn't me! I didn't do it!" Wally ignored his plea.

"I think the person behind Howdys disappearance could only be Eddie!. And I think the punishment for him doing this..." Wally trailed on to keep the suspense.

"Banning him from the neighborhood" Wally said and Frank, Julie and Eddie gasped.

"No! It wasn't Eddie! Believe us!" Julie said over and over again.

"It wasn't him! Come on y/n! You believe us.. right?" Frank said and looked at you desperately.

"You are his wife! You can convince him!" Frank said desperately trying to keep Eddie here.

You looked saddened but you turned to Wally and did an effort to try and convince him other wise.

"Wally... Maybe it wasn't Eddie. We had no proof of it ever happening.." you said but Wally gave you a glare.

"You are MY wife. You take your husbands side. Why aren't you taking my side? Are you perhaps cheating on me?" Wally said with a smirk. He had to be planning something.

Frank looked at you with shocked.

"Y-You..? And Eddie? What..?" Frank said in shock.

"No! It's not what you think!" You said desperately trying to convince them.

Frank turned to Eddie with anger.

"I can't believe you.."

Barnaby grabbed Eddie by the arms.

"No wait! We aren't together or anything! It's a misunderstanding!" Eddie said trying desperately to make Frank believe him. But you and his attempts were futile.

Barnaby dragged him straight outta poppy's house while all you could do was watch him beg.

"Julie! Y/N! Help me please!" Eddie begged for your help. But all you could do was watch.

And just like that he was dragged out the door. Barnaby slammed the door with a loud BANG.

Was it Right? Or was it wrong?
