Hotline! Wally Darling X Reader

What could you do in this moment? You don't know how long you'll be stuck here and it's obvious that acting like a rebellious teen will not get you anywhere.

"That's right.." you decide to just go with it. Trying to keep a mutual face.

"What have you done today? The house seems a bit odd.." he questioned this with suspicion as he looked at you.

"Oh..! I just missed you so much that I couldn't keep still.." you made up a somewhat believable lie, and surprisingly didn't stumble over words.

"Oh you must of tried tidying stuff up! Look at that, your acting like a real housewife." He seemed proud about that. Like he thought you were warming up to him.

"Well I've had such a long day, will you make us dinner? I'll just get changed" he said this like he just got off a 9 hour shift. And he doesn't really have that much choice of outfits. But you just went with it.

"Alright.. I'll get to it" he smiled after you said that and went to his room.

You let out a sigh of relief. You went to the kitchen to make something. But escape was on your mind.

On one hand if you stayed you'll fall for him, probably due to Stockholm. And if you left you could seriously get hurt.

But you went with the first option, to play along.

You both are silently. But he would occasionally ask how your day was.

"It was fine.." you said this in which he nodded.

"How was your day?" You asked back.

"It was quite fine, Barnaby played ball with me, but the ball mostly hit me and I didn't catch it."  He sounded disappointed while you were glad you knew something about what was happening outside of home.

Once dinner was done and you both had your fill, you were left with the dishes while he waited in bed.

You were left to your own thoughts. Your own feelings. Everything.

You thought of your old life, how it was before this. You even thought if it'll be better this way just staying with him.

Eventually you had to join him in bed, and once you did he cuddled up to you and gave your neck kisses.

"I love you darling.." he nuzzled against your chest affectionly.

"I love you too.."

Next day arrived and he left again. Now you were alone again, and you thought this was a normal day and you were lounging around.

But this time there was a knock on the door and you freezed. You waited to see if it'll go away. But it didn't, the person knocked again.

You got up from Wally's chair and went over to the door. You slowly opened it and your heart was beating a tiny bit faster.

You expected something scary but it was just Sally.

"Oh! (Y/n) I thought Wally was here but I guess not, say I haven't seen you often why don't we just hang out?" She asked cheerfully. She seemed still sad about Eddie and Howdy, but she seemed to be doing better.

"Oh.. sure..!" You said this excitedly, using this to finally leave Home for once.

She grabbed your hand and brought you out and started to walk down the sidewalk towards her house.

While she did this you kept looking around, checking if you could hear or see Wally or Barnaby. You hoped not, but Barnaby would be easier to see.

Sally chatted about her day to you.

"And then Poppy gave me some cookies that were to die for!" She seemed so full of light. While you were basically rotting away inside.

But hopefully today would be a good day for you.
