The voices from before felt more close. At first it was like a distant sounds but after a few seconds it felt closer, like it was right beside you.
It felt like someone was calling your name.
You soon felt feeling again, you felt the sound of machines, and other mixed voices.
It took most of your strength to open your eyes, everything was blurry and drowsy. You blinked your eyes a few times before your vision came back to you.
Everything looked clean, like your were in a hospital.
Your eyes drift to your hands and you noticed you were in a hospital gown.
You looked to your side and saw your mom which you made eye contact with and her eyes widened.
"Nurses..! She's awake! Oh my baby's awake!" She smiled happily with a few tears in her eyes.
The nurses rushed over to your side as more feelings came back. You still felt drowsy but you could hear the words: "how do you feel?"
It wasn't long until feeling came back into your body, but your head was killing you. You tried to sit up but the nurses quickly made you lay back down.
"What.. what happened..?" You tried to ask and you mother holded your hand tightly.
"Honey.. you've been in a coma for months now! I knew I shouldn't have let you move stuff on your own." She seemed so regretful as she said this.
But you on the other hand was confused. A few months?.
"Where's Wally?" You asked, seeing if they caught him or not. But you were met with a answer that shocked you to your core.
"Who's wally?" Your mom asked with a slight tilt of her head.
"Honey, that old projector you found was in really bad shape, it shocked you so bad that it put you into a deep coma ever since." You looked at her like she was crazy. No way that all of that was a dream. It can't be.
"No.." you shake your head and tried to sit up again, but only got laid down again.
"You should rest, the doctor will check up on you later.." your mother said as she sniffled. She was glad you were awake.
She soon left you to your own thoughts. You just couldn't believe that none of that was real, that Wally wasn't real.
That film probably is what made you dream of all those characters. You felt some relief that it wasn't real. But you just can't believe that it never happened.
It felt so real, the pain, the deaths, the blood, the love. All of it.
You were win straight denial, but with due time you could recover.
-------------
Few days after that and you had recovered. Your head hurt still, but it wasn't as bad and the pain was fading away.
When you were discharged your mom had drove you to your apartment.
"Be safe my dear. I'll check up on you later" she said with a worried tone before driving away.
You soon entered your apartment that hasn't been touched in months.
You looked around at the place. And it reminded you of the same place you had in the town. Before you moved in with Wally.
But you shouldn't think of that anymore.
You sat down on your bed, and took out your phone. Many missed calls and messages from people in your life and decided to catch up on them.
You decided to message them all back but while doing so you looked at your ring finger and saw a mark. Similar to a ring.
What a odd thing..
But there's no point of thinking about this anymore. It's time to let go and embrace your new home.
