Chapter 1 | Hard Work Pays Off

The group of examinees you were grouped with all traveled down towards the location for the practical exam. You began to glance around at all of your opponents to visualize their mindsets. As you walked, she suddenly bumped into someone around the same height as you. A cute looking girl with short brown hair and brown eyes.

"Oh! I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going!" she apologized quickly.

"Hmm? Oh, it's ok! I was kinda zoned out too so don't worry about it!" You chuckled lightly.

"I'm Ochaco Uraraka! It's nice to meet you" Uraraka stuck out her hand waiting for you to return the gesture.

"(Y/n) (L/n)! And oh my goodness your name is so cute!"  You squealed excitedly.

"Ahh stop you don't mean that" The brunette said as she rubbed the back of her neck with a blush.

"Hehe, anyway good luck on the exam!" You said with a smile as you walked away towards the front of the crowd.

"Thanks (L/n), and good luck to you too!!!"

You simply smiled and waved now turning your focus to the large doors before you... 'This is it. This is what I've been dreaming of since I was a kid... I can do this!!!'

"Okay, start!" Present Mic shouts over the loud speaker.

All of the examinees looked at each other with slight confusion and suspicion.

"What's wrong? There are no countdowns in real fights! Run, run! The die has been cast, you know!" And with that you sprinted into the mock city using some stored up energy to boost yourself forward.

I CAN DO THIS!!!

As you ran through the city you spotted your first target: A large 3 point robot. 'Perfect!'

You ran towards the target, a charge of neon atoms forming in your hands, creating a bright pink glow around them.

You shot one hand towards the ground to boost yourself up into the air and got behind the robot, using the other charged hand to blast a hole straight through the center of it. 'That's one down and a lot more to go.' You thought with a huff.

For the next 9 minutes you took down an overwhelming number of robots all ranging in point value, at this point you lost track of how many points you gained. There were a few cases where you even jumped in to push someone out of the way of falling robots and debris.

Finally, in the last minute of the exam you reached the center of the city and looked at all the trashed robots surrounding you...

Hmm doesn't look like any active robots around.

Thinking this, you suddenly felt a large shake of the ground, and of course, you being the curious type jogged over to the source.

Sure enough there was a mountain sized robot stomping through the city. Uhh I'm guessing this is a level 4?  You wondered in pure shock. Just then the kind brunette from before was seen on the ground with her leg caught under a large piece of debris.

You were about to go over and help her, when a familiar boy with green hair jumps up into the air and sends one of the strongest punches you'd ever seen towards that monster of a machine. Once the boy lands the punch he begins to plummet to the ground, arms and legs flailing in the wind.

Wait... did he just break ALL his bones!?! You stood there shocked and honestly quite concerned for the boys well being.

As he gets closer to the ground you boost yourself towards the two other contestants reaching out for the falling boy. Just as he's about to hit the pavement she jumps in and catch's him, stumbling a little from the weight and speed he fell.
