The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the bustling shipyard of Water 7. The days seemed to move on quite quickly as work piled on with the requests of several ship captains to have their boats looked at, repaired, rebuilt and fixed to make new. It was a simple job to come to work and fix ships, in fact you found yourself to be pretty good at your job among the high class ship wrights at Galley LA. Earning a title as the people of the city seemed to love you and respect you for your work and for your fighting skills if things got out of hand with crews that were unhappy. Even though all of this was so thrilling to be here, deep down you felt you were an impostor, a black sheep hidden among the crowd along with your friends as you worked here undercover. Feeling like even though you came here on a mission no one else could know about besides the people you came with, that you were betraying the people you made friends with in your time you've spent here over the years.
Amidst the clanging of metal and the shouts of workers that worked away with the hours of daylight they had left. You found yourself standing alone against some spare wood at the edge of the ship yard. A cigarette dangling between your fingers as you gazed out into the vast expanse of the city that stood in several sections down below you. This place was truly astonishing with its layout, you couldn't get bored staring at it no matter how long you gazed open the buildings below. Bringing your cigarette to your lips once more you found yourself trying to push away the thoughts that plagued your mind once more. The thought that your work here on the island was almost finished which meant you would have to leave sooner than later.
It was a questionable feeling you obtained over time, being a feared assassin with the 6 powers you were unstoppable. Of course your power level was nothing compared to Rob Lucci. But you were still one to be feared in your time of training over the years among the other CP9 agents you stood beside. It was your job to come to the place, to work undercover and to gain intel on where the blueprints were that the government was seeking out. That was your main purpose coming here, to blend in among the crowd and to not cause suspicion as you worked under the mayor himself you were watching over. It seemed like an easy job at first as you were told what to do at base before leaving here alongside Rob, Kaku, Kalifa, and Blueno. Thinking it would be quick to steal the blueprints and leave, a few month job tops how hard could it be. But that time quickly was extended, and extended again as no one seemed to have even the slightest idea as to where the blueprints were hidden and that just meant more time to stay here and blend in even more.
Blending in wasn't hard no, making new friends here wasn't either as your bond with the workers grew overtime. Feeling like you fit in among the workers and even considered Paulie a good friend of yours as you related to him a lot in your time you spent here working alongside him. Maybe that's when these thoughts started to happen, these thoughts of guilt that popped into your head the more time you spent with the people you weren't supposed to get too comfortable with. Unlike Rob Lucci who stayed quiet and unfriendly towards most, you couldn't help yourself in the 5 years almost of staying here on the island. That's when it hit you....this feeling of betrayal among the people you made relationships with. The fact that they trusted you and your fake stories so much that they relied on you, knowing deep down that you had to leave and betray them hurt so much you were surprised. Leaving you with this feeling of heart ache and emptiness that you were a bad person even though you knew that yourself before even stepping foot on Water 7.
Lost in your thoughts as you continued to smoke your cigarette, you barely noticed Kaku's approach as he noticed your disappearance earlier on. Seeming to notice you walked away from your station after finishing your work and he couldn't help but feel curious as to where you could have gone until he saw you at the edge of the work bay near the railing that overshadowed the town below. He couldn't deny the sunset and lighting illuminating your figure looked so pleasant to him from where he stood. Noticing the serious look upon your face as he drew near. You were overthinking again, he could tell since you hadn't even noticed his approach up until he placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, drawing you out of your reverie. You turned to face him, offering a faint smile.
