Quackity paused, seemingly considering the idea. "Maybe they could, but I'd rather let Tommy's back naturally heal. It would be better." Quackity said as he leaned back against the wall, finally satisfied with how Tommy's wings were. Quackity frowned slightly as he started to go back to thinking. Then he looked at Tubbo, Ranboo, and Purpled. "It's your duty to make sure Tommy doesn't go and try to do something stupid. Or reckless." Quackity said, his eyes staring into their souls as they gulped.
"G-Got it!" Ranboo said, nodding as Quackity stared daggers into his soul. "Good. You know how he is. And you." He said, turning his attention back to Tommy. "Listen to what they tell you to do. Don't do anything stupid." He said and Tommy nodded nervously. "A-Alright!" He stammered as he gulped, his throat still burning. Quackity nodded, getting up.
"Niki's going to come over in a bit, she wanted to bring more cookies." Quackity said as he dusted himself off and Purpled perked up slightly. "Could you ask her or Bad to bring some honey?" He asked and Quackity raised an eyebrow, but nodded. "Yeah, alright." He said, then his eyes softened as he looked at the four of them. He quickly sat down and lightly hugged Tommy, his own golden wings touching Tommy's.
"Sorry, I just really want you to be safe." He mumbled, his motherly instincts taking over. Tommy smiled slightly, shakily bringing his hands up to pet Quackity's back. "I know, Big Q." He said and Quackity smiled as he pulled back. Then he quickly hugged Purpled, then hugged Tubbo.
"Remember to get some sleep, duckling." He said into Tubbo's ear, who nodded as he hugged back. "Okay!" He said with a grin and Quackity smiled as he got up, ruffling Tubbo's hair affectionately.
Then he looked at Ranboo. The two made eye contact and stared at each other, with Quackity's face going stone cold again as Ranboo gulped. They stared at each other for a while longer before Ranboo broke eye contact and Quackity walked to the door. He turned around and smiled slightly. "Well, I've got to get going now." He said and Tubbo nodded.
"I'll walk you out!" He chirped and Quackity smiled slightly as he watched as Tubbo got up and walked to Quackity. The two left the room and Purpled looked at Ranboo with a confused expression. "What was the staring contest about?" He asked and Ranboo groaned, putting his head in his hands.
"I'm engaged to Tubbo. His adopted son. He's extremely protective, for some reason." He said, his mind going back to their conversation when Tubbo was in the kitchen. "Quackity is scary." Ranboo mumbled into his hands and Purpled looked at him with sympathy. "He doesn't like you..?" He asked and Ranboo groaned while burying his face into his hands as Tommy silently watched the scene unfold. "No idea. I think he thinks I'm not good enough for Tubbo..?" He mumbled and Purpled nodded sympathetically. "Damn... That's rough, buddy." He said and Ranboo nodded. "Really is." He said as Tubbo returned to the room with a cheerful expression.
"What are you guys talking about?"
