It's a Game of Life! ?

Rainbow's POV

I don't know what came over me. I was just standing with my friends observing our opponents closely because they looked devastatingly familiar. And the moment I met eyes with the navy blue haired boy, it was like a lightning struck that I remembered; it was my childhood BFF "Soarin Skies". We were just staring and suddenly before I could even register what was happening I just sprinted across the pavement and threw myself at him held him tightly like if I let go he will disappear and he did the same. But don't you dare call me sappy! It was just uhh ... a friendly hug... yea a friendly hug between two childhood friends who haven't seen each other for almost 5 years. There's nothing more to it.

Oh sure...

Shut up mind. Ok now I'm talking to myself. Anyways back to the point. I couldn't even control my tears as they flowed freely. And let me tell you I almost never- by never I mean ever cry, at least in front of everyone. I could practically feel the dumbfounded and surprised looks of my friends and schoolmates on me.

As we released our hug and sniffled I barely had time to blink before I was tackled in a bone crushing hug by a white and yellow blur. I struggled to breathe but when I opened my eyes I saw the one who was suffocating me was none other than my childhood friend; Surprise. I heard some chuckling I heard a familiar voice say;

"Surprise you're gonna kill her with your hug if you don't let her go. Poor girl's turning pale"

"Oops! Sorry Dashie!"

She giggled as she let me go. As I got my breath back I turned to see my savior only to be consumed in another embrace from my whole friends group from when I was in Cloudsdale. That consists of Spitfire, Fleetfoot, Surprise, Misty Fly, Wave Chill, Rapidfire, High Winds, Blaze, Silver Lining, Fire Streak, Lightning Streak and obviously Soarin joined in on the group hug. I hugged them all back. Some of them even had happy tears in their eyes like me. It's been so long since we've seen each other. As we all separated we looked at each other and started laughing while wiping our eyes. We were just talking about have a meet up yesterday if we had time and if the school they were going were near Canterlot but they CAME to Canterlot. Other students from Cloudsdale High looked at us weirdly while some were smiling. As for my school it's hard to describe. Everyone has different expressions and my friends except Flutters who was smiling widely, were sending me mixed emotions. I know this is going to cause some dent in my reputation as a strong girl who basically never cries but I couldn't care less at the moment, I'll worry about that later. Then Fluttershy ran towards us followed closely by Thunderlane. Surprise as usual strangled them both in a hug followed by the rest of us. If you're wondering why, Fluttershy and Thunderlane also studied with us in Cloudsdale High before moving to Canterlot. The first to change schools was Thunderlane and 6 months later Fluttershy and a year later me. Yes both of them were also a part of our gang.

"How are you guys?"

"How have you been you three?"

"It's so great to see you guys again"

"We missed you guys so much"

"Happy to see you dudes again"

All our friends talked at once it was hard to make out what some of them said. But it was clear they were ecstatic to see us again. I was smiling really wide and when turned to my right I saw Soarin making his way towards me. That's when my smile faded and was replaced with an unhappy more like an angry expression. All my happiness of seeing him again has vanished into thin air. I think he seems to know what my expression was for as he stopped dead in his tracks and winced.

"Uh.... You see Dashie, I was really busy and-" he started while fidgeting nervously with his fingers. But I cut him off by yelling:

"What is so busy that you can't even seem to make time for your BEST FRIEND?! I keep on asking the others but all they say is FIGURE OUT YOURSELF! Even Flutters seem to know the reason! But I don't care what made you so busy, all I want to know is, Am I not that important to you anymore?!"

By now I could feel the tears threatening to fall out of my eyes but I held strong even though the emotion I was feeling was clearly evident on my face. I could feel the hurt look on his face and I heard Surprise gasp dramatically at my last question. My friends from Canterlot and the other students looked confused 'cause they had no clue what was going on except Flutters, Thunderlane, Rumble and Zephyr who had a jealous look on his face. But I couldn't care less about what everyone was thinking at this moment

"WHAT?! Of course you're still important to me! How could you ask such a thing? Just because I don't have much time anymore doesn't mean I don't care about you!"

Dash: Shut Up!

Author: Ok Ok)

"Well you don't seem to care enough to at least make a call! I'm the one who's always calling you and most of the time you won't even pick up the phone or answer any of my texts! I mean what the heck are you doing?. Are you some celebrity or something to always be busy?!"

I heard everyone gasp except Flutters and my friends from Cloudsdale. By now both the schools has surrounded us and watching the scene unfold. And y the heck are they gasping like they have heard the most horrifying news?

"Have you been living under a rock?!" basically everyone shouted, including my friends and Soarin. And I could hear Spits, Fleet and Fluttershy snicker in the side.

Oh c'mon

I heard that too much already

"Why does everyone keep asking me that?" I snapped

"Rainbow don't tell me you don't know who he is-" Sunset started

"Darling, how can you don't know who he is?! Even AJ knows who THE SOARIN SKIES is!"

"THE Soarin Skies? What does that mean? And someone tell 'Cause I don't watch TV that much or read magazines" everyone was looking at me like I grew horns even Soarin. Then everyone started shouting.

"He's one of the super-hot teen models!" A girl shouted

"He's a famous Pop star!" another boy from somewhere shouted

"His songs are out of the world!" A few others shouted

"He's a pro soccer player! How can you not know about that?! I thought you love soccer!" Thunderlane shouted.

"People would die to meet him!" another one shouted

Every time someone said these things my eyes kept widening. I took out my phone immediately and typed "Soarin Skies" and thousands of results came. Holy Shit! I looked at Soarin with my jaw hanging open. He only shrugged and grinned sheepishly at my reaction.

And I came to a conclusion

I was really living under a rock and I'm the most ignorant person in the world
