Today not only marked the beginning of their new lives, it was the end of Gabriel Agreste's torment.
He would always miss Emilie, but her death no longer controlled his life. Now, he had a life worth living, even if it may have taken him a long time to realize it. His son and now-fiancée had never left his side.
This morning, he'd put the ring on her finger. This morning, he'd finally let go of the past.
Today, Gabriel Agreste was free.
